I’d love to see her as VP. That’d put the screws to Hillary, LOL!

Why no call for putting the opossum on the “endangered” list? I mean, they’re moving north at an alarming rate, losing their “homeland” obviously due to Global Warming, too. *SMIRK*

When Alaska was first purchased from Russia it was called Seward’s Folly by critics of the deal. I propose we now call it Gore’s Folly. Why did we even buy it if not for it’s natural resources?

Carbon Dioxide does not cause global warming.

No more than night mists over swamps cause malaria.

The congruence of two factors does NOT infer that the presence of one caused the other. It is only a surmise that increased presence of CO2 CAUSES atmospheric and hydrospheric warming.

The reverse, however, that warming (by other means than inplied by the alarmists) causes the CO2 content of the atmosphere to INCREASE, has plenty of observational evidence to support that conclusion. Consider, for example, the common carbonated drink that many people enjoy consuming. Which way is it better, served warm or cold?

When it is COLD, the CO2 is retained in the water. When it is WARM, the CO2 escapes (to the atmosphere, naturally), and the drink becomes “flat”. Similarly, warm oceans are “flat”, cold oceans retain CO2.

Warm oceans exude CO2, CO2 does not warm oceans.

Carbon dioxide is plant food.

Declaring polar bears as endangered is another step toward permanently preventing drilling in ANWR.

Click the link to see what the enviro-wackos are crying about:

Sea Ice September 1979 - September 2007

I suspect this year will be a different story:

Sea Ice May 26, 1979 - May 26, 2008

If people end up paying five or six dollars a gallon for heating oil and get the idea that polar bears are causing it, the bears really might become endangered all of a sudden....

I'm not sold on Governor Palin just yet. She might need more vetting. This from wikipedia:

In April 2007, Palin announced plans to create a new sub-cabinet to address climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions within Alaska.

Scary stuff. Is she a global warmist or not?

The only reason polar bears are suddenly "endangered" is to prevent oil exploration.

Exactly!

We actually hav e had an increase in the polar bear population -- but computer modeling shows that there should be a decrease. So we're required under the anti-development, Luddite "environmental" laws to declare them endangered.

Let’s get back to states rights. Alaska should tell the feds to go pound sand and invite Exxon up to ANWR with their drillin’stuff.
