Principal quits job over 'gay' alliance

The principal of a South Carolina public school has announced plans to resign rather than continue his work at Irmo High following a demand to launch a student club to promote homosexuality.

"The formation of this club conflicts with my professional beliefs in that we do not have other clubs at Irmo High school based on sexual orientation, sexual preference, or sexual activity," Principal Eddie Walker, who identifies himself as "Class of 2008-2009," told the school community in a letter.

His letter said he planned to announce his pending departure to students via the intercom today, but school officials told WND that had been delayed as the school dealt with the sudden death of a student.

However, school district spokesman Buddy Price issued a statement confirming Walker's situation.

"I can confirm that the principal of Irmo High School, Mr. Eddie Walker, has communicated to his staff that he has submitted a letter of resignation effective at the end of the 2008-2009 school year. He cites personal principles related to a request to establish a Gay/Straight Alliance Club at the school as the reason for his resignation," wrote Price.

Good for you. This is the way to defeat and expose these perverts. I live in northern Wisconsin and haven’t seen any of this yet. But I’m taking notes from leaders like you so when it’s my turn, I’ll know what works.
Thanks

How very rare and refreshing.

There was a “gay club” back when I was in high school, in georgia, in the mid-90’s.

There was a glee club in Florida in the 70s, but it had nothing to do with sex fetishes.

While the gay fascists need to be fought on every level, ultimately the solution is close down government schools. All of them!

Christian teachers need to reevaluate whether they should teach in government school at all:

Reasons:

* The offical godless worldview of the government schools can NOT coexist with a God-centered worlview. It is impossible. They can not occupy the same space. It is one or the other. Therefore, when Christian teachers teach in the government schools they are supporting, aiding, and assisting in the establishment of a godless religious worldview.

* Surely students can see that the government worldview conflicts with the Christian god-centered worldview. They must conclude that Christians are hypocrites, deliberate liars, stupid, or greedy for a paycheck.

* When Christian teachers attempt to sneak in a little Christian morality into the government schools then the students should rightfully conclude that Christians are timid, weak, and especially sly and sneaky.

I am not surprised that the statistics for Christian children remaining in the faith are so poor. The stats must be worse for non-Christian children. Who in their right mind would join a religion whose members are hypocrites, liars, weak, timid, sell their principles for a paycheck, and sly and sneaky?

*

wagglebee: Moral Absolutes

Metmom: Another Reason to Homeschool ( **not** “homo-school”)

narses: All Christians ( Catholic and Protestant) should get their kids out of the government school cesspools. And...Christian teachers ( Catholic and Protestant) should reconsider what lessons they are teaching the children if they remain teaching there.

There was a thespian club at our school in the 70s. It would have easily passed for a gay club.

Kudos to a principal with principles. There are far too few men like Eddie Walker is the government schools - - which is why most civilized Americans believe the government schools are hopeless and why parents who love thier children pull them out.

I wonder how far a gun club would get?

This is South Carolina. A gun club wouldn't be a problem.

We had a gay club at my Catholic high school back in the 90s as well. It was called “The Glee Club.”

I was in the drama club in high school. Don’t knock it: us straight guys had the pick of the litter among the ladies.

Why...do you like these gays clubs? You always seem to have the most liberal Point of view on every thread you join.

Umm, no, I have the most realistic view. Most of the threads I join are full of knee-jerk reactionism of how society’s going to hell in a handbasket. Society isn’t that much different now than it ever has been. I’m pretty indifferent to gay clubs, I don’t care if they exist or not. And it is absolutely hilarious how everyone seems to react to this stuff as though it’s something completely new.

Sounds like the Sixties activists who went to the protest marches because that’s where the liberal (read: easy) chicks were.
