Sounds good. U.S. fatalities in Iraq are now down to their lowest levels of the entire war.
Iraq is won!

That for all those who think that knocking off their leaders only somehow makes them more aggressive. They just get dumber.
Nevertheless, I would get a kick out seeing these nuts try to proclaim one of their number “Caliph.”
I can imagine the line for applicants for Grand Viziers, Genies, Sinbads and Sheherazades going out the door...

The mainstream media will report this right after they report last Monday’s announcement at the National Press Club by OISM regarding the Petition Project, wherein 31,000 scientists have publicly rejected the man-made global warming hypothesis.

We have won the war in Iraq from all military and strategic perspective. Al Qaeda has been utterly defeated. I have translated some threads from Al Qaeda terrorists forums and post here on FR months ago where the terrorists were basically admitting defeat. Today there was a thread on Ekhlaas terrorist forum trying to explain their utter defeat in Mosul, the last refuge for the remaining defeated Al Qaeda terrorist force. They were saying that they have “tactically” left Mosul to find another safe place. In another word they admitted that they have been crushed in their last refuge Mosul.

And all of this could have been done sooner had we not had one major political party constantly telling us we were losing and encouraging the jihadists to keep on fighting. GRRRRRRR

The sad part is this news still has not reached the American public due to the Munchausen by Proxy attitude of the Democrats and left-wing media helping our enemy with their propaganda.

I have just learned about the opinions of NRO's Andy McCarthy by reading Laurie Mylroies article titled Writing Blind "A response to Andy McCarthy"
I never knew his book suggested that Saddam's Iraq was not a proper target for war?
If you look at his credentials on NRO it states "Andrew C. McCarthy, a former chief assistant U.S. attorney who led the 1995 terrorism prosecution against Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman and eleven others, is an NRO contributor"
I thought Attorneys were supposed to gather all the facts before drawing conclusions?
Joseph he like many others including some FReepers have chosen to tow the "Id rather be stupid and not pay attention to the facts line" than support this war.
There has been a strong determined group of FReepers presenting many with irrefutable and undeniable evidence linking Saddam to international terrorism and the threats he presented with his chemical weapon WMD program yet even here at FR many turn a blind eye. Why is that I ask my onlooking terrorist enabling so-called fair weather friends? Iraq is the War on Terrorism.
What has happened to some people that used to share our ideology? very very Sad Joseph

Quite interesting read to say the least. One can wonder just where the remaining groups that are willing to fight, will now migrate to. They are not welcomed in any part of Iraq or Kurdistan by all indications. Will we start to read articles indicating a retreat by foot and car back into Syria and Iran by them. I hope we shall find the border units controlled by Iraqi police and military shall be able to detect and capture numbers of them on their egress.Iraq should break with the traditional status quo regarding free movement of muslims across borders. The ME is to damn porous in this regard to begin with. It may sound a bit nick picking but I think in order for the eventual influx of foreign investors to set up shop, they have to take better control of the borders.

AQI beat themselves is what I'm seeing here. Not only the points shown in the article, but also the most blindingly obvious one--they over-brutalized the populace to the point that they were willing to put up with foreign
infidels over the extreme cruelty of AQI's terrorists.
Most people in Iraq either don't like us or could care less if we live or die, and for that to be transformed into active cooperation with us and open combat against AQI....someone in AQ's leadership really screwed the pooch.
