Can we please have a civilized thread offering our prayers for Sen. Kennedy and his family? He has just been diagnosed with brain cancer (glioma) which has a very poor prognosis. The moderators have already been forced to pull at least FOUR threads on this topic due to uncivilized posters. If you feel the urge to post something unkind, don't.

All the others have been and no links to open threads or reason why.
God help Senator Kennedy and give him and his family hope and courage.
Prayers for him and his family in this latest tragedy to befall them.

Prayers up for Sen. Kennedy & his family. For his own sake, I hope he will take an immediate retirement from the Senate so he can spend his remaining days with his family.
But like someone else said on anothe thread - I most of all pray God uses this to make Senator Kennedy face the truth, repent, and trust in Jesus Christ alone as Lord and Savior.

I pray for his healing, for his spiritual well-being, for rest and for his family and friends. He’s nearing the end of his life journey at 76 and I hope that he recognizes the need to be at-peace with God as he looks toward eternity.

For all his faults he has been good to all his nieces and nephews that looked to him as a substitute father. I’m offering a special prayer for Carolyn Kennedy. For this young woman the losses have been great and she has maintained such dignity and grace.
Does this mean the tumor is inoperable? If so... I'm very sorry to hear about that...
That will depend on whether ill-mannered posters can refrain from posting things that require moderator intervention.
There were reasons given. Three were locked for being duplicates. The 4th was locked because AdMod didn't want to try and keep up with the demeaning remarks that reflect on Free Republic. The 5th was locked because, apparently, AdMod(s) had left the building...whatever that means.
Prayers up for Senator Kennedy and his family. May God comfort them all in this time of distress.
Praying for his return to health, and comfort and strength for his family. I am very sorry he received this diagnosis.
Praying for FReepers to have the kind of heart and spirit their religion wishes them to have.
Prayers for his complete recovery. And that this experience will give him cause for reflection.
As far as the senator goes, I pray this tragedy will be what makes him realize that he needs to repent and get right with God. Any other pray would be cruel and deny the reality that he is in dire need of spiritual redemption.
