no matter who gets into the WhiteHouse on Nov
we NEED to get the HOUSE back
we need to win at least 30% of the seats up in the House this Nov with CONSERVATIVES.....
we need to be paying attnetion to national House races...donating to those campaigns even if not in your area....
these folks know that they need to raise money on a national level, and get the message out on a local level....
unfortunatley— this is how it needs to work...
govt is so corrupt that local people are afraid to donate to local condidates running against encumbants....they and family members can lose jobs, contracts, etc.....
So true. Those of us with resolve have to double our efforts to compensate for the whiners on the sidelines who have given up.
In Oregon you have an Anti-war, anti-drilling RHINO senator and a pro-abortion has no chance Congressman.
The only Conservative in the state has been found out about causing and paying for an abortion a few years back with a younger girl. Welcome to Blue state America.

He has carried that debate for 8 years and nobody ever backs him. How many times has drilling lost in Congress, plus having to agree to no drilling off FL to win FL. Now he doesn’t have to care about losing battles.
If not for Big Oil we would have $10/gal.

Compared to what? Comnpared to the days of Mao it is working out much better for us. My son spent a summer in Bejing and wandering around. Incredible growth going on over there. He couldn't have done that in the 60s.
But to Webb's point it was not due to diplomacy but rather the power and strength of capitalism compared to the failure of communism.
Sometimes timing is everything.
Wow...faaar more extreme than I would go...
Hopefully he doesn’t back down and beats Congress over the head with drilling. Until America learns about Supply and Demand via energy we will continue to elect commiecrats.

Actually snugs I think that’s a very real concern. Yet it is a concern EVERY election. Politicians who sit one out thinking that the voters want change shouldn’t be running in the first place. They need to be in the fight for their country and party always. They need to MAKE it happen. Too many see serving and running for office as all spoils of war rather than the duty it should be. Doing one’s duty isn’t supposed to be a picnic.
I got two of those letters, one for Mr. A. I did them both as I knew he would never get around to it.
I gave a few suggestions, but basically he was touting stuff I agree with: lower taxes, less govt spending, judges who wouldn’t push an agenda, no earmarks, national security.
I gave him a little advice on anwar and illegal immigrants.
He’s only 20 to 30% bad and the other two are 100% bad. I don’t like him but I will vote for him with enthusiasm.
I do not agree that enduring 4 years of Obama would be ‘good for the country.’ We are still paying for the harm that Carter did in 4 years.
We are still paying for the harm that Clinton did to the moral fibre of the country and causing the war basically by ignoring the Islamic threat so thoroughly that they felt emboldened to act.
I don’t want to pay the price for 4 years of hillary/obama. It would be higher than you can imagine.
sry folks
I have to get some audio clips mixed and done.....
have to run
was so nice to get back onto the Sunday thread today...
GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!
thx for being here every week fighting the good fight!
;-)
I know it is sad, no better teacher than $4.00 gas.
Thank you for everything you do EC and (say hello to Rush for me)
I can remember chicken done on it, it was wonderful. Instead I slow roast my lamb in the oven with fresh rosemary until it falls off the bone.
What flavour is hickory is it similar to BBQ sauce? If so not sure I would fancy it with lamb I prefer something sweet like redcurrant or pungent like mint or rosemary.
How do you fry chicken - the whole chicken or just chicken pieces. Frying especially deep frying is not one of my skills. I suppose being bought up in a fish and chip shop sort of frightened me off frying all the horror stories of people being burnt and shop/chimneys/extractors catching fire.
The secret to winning elections is to win the minds of the Moron Bloc. How many Floridians really care about drilling off the coast? Not many in the Moron Bloc for sure and they vote overwhelmingly democrat(ic).
Just promise them, with the help of a veto-proof majority, you will start the process of finding and producing our own oil thereby reducing the price of gas and the Republicans once again win the hearts and minds of the majority of Americans. Especially the Moron Bloc and to hell with the Enviro Wackos.
The "kitchen table talk" is not about the very small percentage of homes being affected by the mortgage crisis, but the very large amount of people (all of us, except me cause I'm retired and can sit home) being affected by the price of gas. The Moron Bloc must be convinced it is not "BIG OIL" that's the problem, but our elected congress people.
Yeah I know; tough job.
/Rant off.
2. get investors (a well may be owned by the company, but there are also investors involved)
3. drill
4. get to the refinery.
I used to work for an oil company in NE TX - over 20 years ago. We could have oil to the refinery within a year - if it was a good hole, and not a dry one. You still had a lot invested, regardless. Depending on the depth needed, it could run over a million easy.
We also had a local refinery at the time. Now it has been shut down - thanks to the enviros and their regulations.
They run as conservatives. That is sure not how they vote.
