Absolutely and people should remember however ‘conservative’ these dems are I bet if you studied their actual voting record it would be far more left of centre than most so called RINOS.

Talk is one thing but what matters at the end of the day is what you vote or as we say in Britain what lobby you walk through when the dividing bell rings and most people at the end of the day go with what their party wants for the sake of future appointments.

I’m not sure. There are three Udall’s running in different races in different states this year. They are all related too, as I understand it.

Udall is a hard left Democrat who is the US Rep from Boulder, which tells everyone how far left he is. He’s a nice guy in person but his views and positions are in line with the radical leftist Democrats.

“not ONE republican got on a soap box to shout out what a fool Durbin was, or to even challenge the stupidity of the statement.”

Would it matter? The MSM wouldn’t report on the remarks anyway even if republican stood up to condemn them.

Well done.

I believe McCain will keep the military strong in Iraq and in the war against terrorists. I believe McCain will appoint more conservative judges. I believe McCain will do what he said in vetoing pork spending bills.

That’s only three, but it’s three more than we will ever have if a Democrat is elected in November.

McCain wasn’t even in my Top 3 for who I wanted to be the nominee.

But that being said even with his numerous faults he’s better than what awaits us from either of the Democrats.

And despite what some think...the people of this country don’t deserve that kind of President just to give the politicians a “wake up call”

Normally I would say that you are 100% right TX, but with McCain it's an entirely different world. Normally when you get a candidate you need to support him and your parties platform 100% or take a huge chance on losing.

I see McCain however as a different type of candidate.

I see us bashing him over and over and getting away with it,sounds crazy, but here is why we can. And why he will undoubtedly throw us under the bus every chance he gets!

. Every time we bash him he looks better to the middle of the roaders and the not so wacky left. We knock him, he looks better to his crossover voters. He will win either way. It's just a matter of who pulls the lever.

He is unique candidate in that respect,IMHO.

Actually McCain allows us to hold our conservative values and still win IMHO while he runs us over and over with the Straight Talk Express!

But we already know that when a state party stands up to him (i.e. North Carolina Republicans) he folds like paper.

If we elect strong Conservative Republicans to the House and Senate what’s to say he won’t react the same way?

remember Grandma Pelosi in her babushka over in Syria

Okay, Miss D. What about Pelosi and that ridiculous scarf over in Syria....SYRIA which just had their own fine nuclear reactor blown up by Israel may I add? So why weren't the pubbies out and about and mentioning this every third sound byte? Why weren't they mentioning the fine, fine Jimmah Carter, galavanting around and picking up funds for his own cash reserves in the form of his foreign lobbying company? WHERE WERE THE PUBBIES? Better, WHERE THE HELL WAS JUAN MCCAIN?

See, the pubbies are scared. Sheesh, Bush makes one reference to the dangers of appeasement in a speech in front of a foreign body where it was very appropriate and the Democrats come out in droves and act like big babies. So why don't the pubbies come back out and, oh I don't know, laugh all over the place as Joe Biden certainly gave a good comedic sketch? Why, right after Pelosi went on stage, wasn't a pubbie out mentioning her little visit to Syria?

The sound of their cowardly silence is deafening.

The problem is NOT that conservatism is dead. Most Americans live their lives conservatively even if they don't realize it.

The problem is that a bunch of blow-dried, flat-haired, wing-tipped cowardly political elites have come to enjoy their happening lifestyle as a Lord in our House of Lords and they've chosen, not to represent US, horrors. They've chosen to represent THEMSELVES.

And via that recent immigration bill and this McCain character supposed to represent us, they spit in our face.

I'm waiting for the train wreck. Like the CBS poohbahs who knew, DAMMIT, they KNEW, that Katie Couric would be warmly received as purveyor of all that is serious and grave in our world, those political pubbie elites KNOW what's best for us.

We can only sit and wait for the crash.

I am in dilemma over China for I believe if it were not China it would be India or Vietnam or one of the other countries out in that region that would be wielding the economic power that basically we in the West have given them.

We have become too greedy in we I mean the big corporations down to the small family run businesses. We say we have made a loss if our profits have not increased from year to year. How many times do we see headlines so and so made 2 or 3 million loss this year when you read the article they actually made 2 or 3 million less than they forecast but still more than they made the previous year and far more than what inflation was.

There has to come a time when we realise we cannot continue to get massive increases each year small solid ones are the way to go with everyone benefiting including price rises on everyday things.

It is this climate that has breed firms turning to China and India etc to produce substandard goods at cheap prices. How long does your kettle or toaster last against how long it lasted 20 years ago yes it may be cheaper than 20 years ago but does it last. The attitude also of consumers needs to change at present with cheap substandard white goods they do not care how long they last after all they will replace them anyway in 3 years.

I say this working for a company who has a joint venture in China though we have been smart and fought hard for it we have the controlling percentage of 51 per cent many companies in the west have had to settle for 49 per cent with the Chinese company having the 51 per cent. It was hard and we lost a couple of years because of it but it was worth the fight.

We now make the majority of our company's products in China along with the problems associated with this but it has kept us in business and yes we have had to settle lesser profits but many companies this is not true. Even though in our small way we have made our economy more reliant on China because without it yet another company in Britain would have bitten the dust.

What the answer is I do not know but I think that maybe we all need to realise we cannot keep growing at the pace we have and had to at some point say I will settle for a nice home, reasonable car fair salary etc etc.

I am not advocating lack of ambition or wanting to get on in life but a realistic attitude that we do this at the expense of others including the overall well being of own countries making them more reliant on countries who do not have our or even their own people best interest at heart.

We have become greedy and self centred and as we see this in people's day to day attitude and how they conduct their life either in business or their personal life and we hear of more and more natural disasters in the world we are reminded that we in the last days and that the Lord will return maybe in our generation.

You just read my mind and posted my next post, Pat. Not a peep from the Pubs about this criminal act by our Madame Speaker. FNS just showed a clip of the gloating Pelosi bragging about Congress and then bumbling, mild-mannered Boehner appears and I thought—is this how the Repubs fight? Pathetic.

Of course you’re right.

But it’s been a while since I’d laid eyes on the guy and for a moment I’d almost forgotten what a buffoon this guy was.

And what a happening facelift, huh?

We have a skyrocketing energy crisis draining our economy and our elected officials are worried that the President called them appeasers, which they are.
If you like $4/gal, Thank Congress.
