SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — The U.S. Navy has denied Chelsea Clinton permission to campaign for her mother on a former bombing range on a small Puerto Rican island.
Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign wanted to use the land Wednesday as a setting to discuss the candidate's clean up plan for the region and call to give some areas to local residents.
But Navy spokeswoman Lt. Lara Bollinger said no one is allowed to campaign on federal property.
Chelsea Clinton is making her second campaign visit to Puerto Rico in the last three weeks. The U.S. territory has 55 delegates at stake in its June 1 Democratic primary.
The Navy closed the range in Vieques in April 2003 following years of protests after two errant bombs killed a security guard.

I guess they should have been careful what they wished for.

She should consider herself lucky. I had to land there once in a SH-3 after an engine flamed out. Not much to see there.

A few years ago, the Disney Company showed interest in the Roosevelt Roads land in Ceiba to build a big "Pirates of the Caribbean"-themed amusement park and hotels, and the Government of Puerto Rico denied the offer (Idiots!)
The land remains abandoned.

... And you would think that she, as FIRST LADY for 8 years and NY SENATOR for another 8 years would have already fast-tracked the lobbying efforts and/or introduced legislation to clean up Vieques many, many years ago. She has done nothing to support the clean-up efforts. Last week, she was taking credit for being in a Hurricane Georges Task Force to help Puerto Rico back in 1998, which is false.
The guy in the first picture with his hand over his mouth looks like he’s about to barf.
It actually looks like Chelsea ‘cut the cheese’ and the draft winds were unfortunately drifting towards him....

At least someone gets it that the Clinton’s don’t get a free pass on everything they want to do.
Well, maybe if Hillary had in fact joined the Marines in 1975 (as she alleged she almost did a few months ago), then Chelsea could’ve perhaps had some VIP-type access?
