If Edwards, gave his delegates to Clinton, she would take the lead 290 - 286.

That would be interesting.

You're reading the card wrong.

According to that CBS page, Obama has a lead of 1881 delegates to 1711 for Clinton. That's a 170 delegate margin.

Edwards only has 18 delegates. So if Edwards pledged to Clinton, and all of his delegates obeyed (unlikely) that you're still going to see a 152 delegate Clinton deficit.

Oh man, that’d be friggen awesome. Chaos, utter chaos would ensue. I don’t think it’s going to happen, but then again... Obama had better be cutting Edwards a great deal.

Wouldn’t help, and Edwards is not stupid. He now breaths the Obama air. “one of us one of us one of us”

Clinton has hung up her bootstraps. Interstingly, she’s still in them.

No, John Edwards neither has any superdelegates in support of him, neither would he ask them to support Hillary, and he despises her. However, Edwards does have 18 “regular” delegates. But that number is too small to be of any real likely significance.

You are misreading the chart, badly.

Edwards has 18 delegates elected for him. He has 0 superdelegates. You are addng Edwards' regular delegates to Clintons's superdelegates only, to get a meaningless figure. Edwards cannot give Clinton a lead in delegates. He could, if he chooses to get ten seconds of additional fame, put Obama over the top after the Oregon primary.

Exactly. Also, it's not as if he can release his delegates and pledge them with any assurance that they will go along with it.

If the Silk Pony wanted to be a factor, the time to do it was a long time ago (certainly BEFORE the NC primary).

He's going to stay totally neutral and then beg the nominee for the Attorney General spot.

John Edwards, as a woman, would add gender balance to the ticket.

Edwards cannot even “give” delegates to Clinton. He can release his delegates and ASK them to support Clinton, but it’s up to them who they support.

would be, but it’s not going to happen.

A) He already annointed Obama as the nominee. There was a link posted here showing Sunday morning video clips with him saying Obama won it all at this point.

B) He’s to the left of Hillary (at this point, not originally) and his base (e.g. Kostards) is aligned with Obama, not Clinton.

Hence, this will not happen. She’s got a better chance with racist Biden. Yes, I said racist Biden, the man who’s property contained a race specific restrictive covenant and who’s had more “Macca” moments than the GOP combined in the last 10 years.
