WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Close-in supporters of Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign are convinced he never will offer the vice presidential nomination to Sen. Hillary Clinton for one overriding reason: Michelle Obama.
The Democratic front-runner's wife did not comment on other rival candidates for the party's nomination, but she has been sniping at Clinton since last summer. According to Obama sources, those public utterances do not reveal the extent of her hostility.
A footnote: Support is growing in Democratic ranks for Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland as vice president. He would bring to the ticket maturity (66 years old), experience (six terms in Congress) and moderation (rated "A" by the National Rifle Association). He is very popular in Ohio, a state Republicans must carry to elect a president.

FWIW, I got it.
But ... but ... the liberal media has anointed her the black version of Jackie Kennedy. Right down to the pearls.
Its not in Hillarys interests to become VP, even if Obama did offer it to her. She would have far more power remaining in the Senate, and would then be in good position for another run in 2012.
The overriding reason should be Bill Clinton. Obama has to know he’d spend most of his term in office commenting on Bill Clinton’s latest remarks/bimbo/controversy/peccadillo.
LOL! I saw that one coming.........
Rush talks about the “Queen Bee” syndrome between Hillary and Pelosi. Could be the same thing.
I got it too.
:)
Good assessment, from another buckeye conservative.
Plus, Strickland is in the video, behind the Beast, doing his absolute best bobble-head impression while the Beast was in Ohio shouting "Shame on you Barack Obama, shame on you"
Mrs. Obamalamadingdong is the same thing. A bitter affirmative action lady that knows she's a fraud, but screams loudly in order to distract from her level of incompetence.
She makes how much? and produces what?
I guess I'm going with McCain. He's all that we've got..... I guess.
Mr. Strickland would be a great vice president.

If McCain pulls it off, he's going to be a one-termer and not just because of the age thing. He will be back with his initiative to make illegal aliens into citizens. If he succeeds, there will be a seismic demographic shift which ensures no Republican is ever elected to a nationwide office in our lifetimes. If he fails, there will be a conservative backlash which will make the phone-line meltdowns last year look like a warm-up.
In any case, there will be consequences because McCain can't leave the issue alone and he won't enforce existing immigration law.
I got it also beaversmom. lol
I can think of half a dozen reasons for not picking Clinton as Veep, and none of them have anything to do with Mrs. Obama. She’ll just be used as the excuse.
I agree 100%. She is a very angry, aggressive person. I have a feeling she was behind Obama’s reluctance to denounce Wright and his decision to stick with Wright’s church. If you were afraid of Hillary.....watch out for Michelle.
Have you ever considered the idea Michelle was the real reason why Obama choose Trinity as his church and remained there? She seems much more likely to be ‘at home’ there.
Aunt Esther as First Lady?
((((shudder))))
......Her skin is very, very thin......
but mostly it is a very dark shade of black.
