My Response To The RNC Letter Asking For A Donation
May 7, 2008 | LaserLock

Posted on 05/07/2008 6:47:52 PM PDT by LaserLock

Yesterday, I received a letter from Tim Morgan, the RNC Treasurer, asking for a donation. I was disgusted by the tone of the letter and decided to respond to him.

*************************************************

Dear Mr. Morgan,
I am insulted and offended by your letter. How dare you try to insinuate that I abandoned the Republican Party.

Please understand the facts, it was not me who abandoned the Republican Party, it was the leadership that abandoned the core principles of the Republican Party.

Your letter asks for a donation because you want to stop the Democrats. That’s not a convincing argument.
First let me know what the leadership stands for and then I’ll decide if I want to donate. Also:

I absolutely and completely reject all of your arguments that say we need to put President Ronald Reagan behind us. It was President Reagan who actually believed in our core principles, ran on them, and enacted them.

Help me out here Mr. Morgan. Why should I give the RNC any of my hard earned money, and I don’t have a lot of it.
Please explain to me why there is no one from the Republican Party talking about our core principles.
What do you actually believe in.

Until you can address my questions and concerns you will continue to not hear from me.

If you have the courage and want to contact me, feel free and do so.

All the best,

An excellent letter but I wish you would have been blunt. ;O)

I sent their form back with no donation in their postage-paid envelope noting that no money will be sent until the RINOs disappear and the party gets back to the Conservative agenda.

Great letter! I have two in my mailbox going out tomorrow. One from McCain and one from the RNC and both containing similar surveys along with a request for a donation. I always respond the same way, and continue to receive more requests. They would save $ not sending me any more as I send no donations and tell them I will not until I see them supporting conservative principals and standing up to the liberals.

I quit considering myself a Republican back in the early 70's when that spineless, wuss, Gerry Ford, refused to honor our commitment to South Vietnam (as outlined in the Paris Peace Accords) and order military assistance when it was shown that the North Vietnamese had (surprise, surprise) invaded the South with heavy artillery and armor.

Though the Rats in Congress had cut off all financial aid, he could nevertheless have used his power to come to the aid of the Vietnamese.

During my 18 months over there I worked closely with many Vietnamese who put their faith and trust in us and I don't doubt it cost many their lives after the Commies overran the South.

Since then, I have considered myself a Patriotic Conservative and would NEVER have anything to do with the RNC, though I've only voted for Republicans since 1968.

My first vote was for LBJ, but hey, I was young, naive, in the USAF and he hadn't shown himself to be what he turned out to be later on.

Sadly, with the exception of Ronald Reagan, ALL of our Republican Presidents have been RINO's.

I got the exact same letter & I wrote pretty much the same thing as you on the “questionaire”. I didn’t use a stamp to send it back to them either - let them pay for it!

Bunch of idiots.

Then Emmanuel’s a friggin’ genius. We had a recent special election in Florida for the state legislature, and the Dem won it handily in a strong Republican district. His two issues—secure the borders and cut taxes. Gee, why didn’t the Republicans think of that? They were too busy attacking the Dem for stuff he’d done years earlier that the voters obviously didn’t care about anymore. There’s a lesson if the RNC cares to learn it. Conservatism works, every time it’s tried, which is why the Dems are doing it.

The RNC is getting so concerned about a lack of fund raising, they are sending out photos of President Bush with their fund-raising solicitation letters.

I just went to the wastebasket to open the letter I received today. All I wanted to do was see if I got the same one that Laser Lock mentioned. I got the one with the President's photo. Needless to say, I threw it back in the trash. At least they're not as mad at Laser Lock and me as they are at you. LOL

I’ve gotten several from the RNC, and yesterday, I got one from John McCain. I don’t even bother opening them anymore. They just go in the garbage.

I’ve been sending them the Jorge Bush ‘Nada Pesos’ pic with the following note:

To Whom It May Concern:
• Secure the border and turn off the Mexican welfare magnet.
• Call Islamic tyranny for what it is and take the gloves off. Political correctness will kill us all.
• Call treason and traitors by their proper names – and do something about it.

Then we’ll talk. Until then, not a dime, a dollar or a vote from me. I’m not going to contribute to a gutless party that won’t stand up for its own principles. The Republican party of today is NOT my Republican party. No courage. No principles. No clear and articulate defense of life and liberty.

I’ll write in a real conservative – like J C Watts, for example. And then I’ll prepare for the next American Civil War. The rest of you spineless bastards can go to hell.

For good measure, I use a black Sharpie to print in big block letter on the back of the envelope:

BORDERS LANGUAGE CULTURE

Can you hear me now?

Great reply.

They said they do not think the Conservative vote is important, okay, but send us your money to do with as we wish.

From what is going around the last couple days I think the Republican National Socialist Committee is starting to hear our silence.

I won’t donate to any political interest because I am not in a position that would enable me to buy influence.

Yep. The republicans were repeatedly warned that they had gaps on their right flank and steadfastly refused to take care of the problem.

Rahm Emanuel just took advantage of what the republicans had done. I don’t have to like him to appreciate the political acumen he displayed.

Laser,

When they give us candidates like these great men, Men who understand what conservatism is, then our wallets will open again.

> I was thinking of sending them the excrement sandwich they expect me to eat come November but there are probably laws against that sort of political statement.

Unfortunately, the FecalGram outfit has gone out of business -- they would do it for you, sending a box of poo to the recipient of your choice:

A Fecalgram™ is a handsomely packaged box full of 100% natural, freshly-squeezed, human made crap. Go ahead and click the box over there on the right to take a peek inside. Each Fecalgram™ is unique and manufactured to order by red-blooded Americans.

It wasn't real poo, of course (as you say, that's not legal to ship through the mail), but it was the absolute best replica you can imagine. Sadly, all that's left of the business is the t-shirt concession on CafePress.

Great reply! My recommendation is to only donate to individual candidates. How much money does the RNC spend on the number of letters to all of us versus what they taken in? I don’t even open them anymore but they keep sending them anyway. I will not donate to any GOP organization. My donations will go direct to candidates and then will not donate if they only do mailers. I have gotten extremely tight with my checkbook when it comes to candidates and it is completely shut to RNC and the rest.

Good on ya. I am fortunate to have a real, honest-to-God conservative Republican congresscritter (Randy Forbes). The $100 I used to send to the RNC got split this year between Randy and the North Carolina Republican Party since they managed to p!ss of McC with that ad. Hopefully they’re still running it. The RNC can kiss my @ss.
