On Thursday, April 17, a drive-thru carryout owner and Concealed Handgun License (CHL)-holder was investigating why his security alarm went off after just having closed up for the night when he was surprised by an intruder who had been hiding in his store. The entire confrontation that followed was caught on tape.

As can be seen in the security video the intruder surprised the store owner, who was forced to draw his gun when the intruder advanced toward him.
He ordered the intruder onto his knees, and held him at gunpoint while attempting to dial 911. At that point, the intruder got up and began advancing toward the CHL-holder again.
The store owner attempted to keep the intruder from approaching him, and showed admirable restraint as the intruder advanced on him several times.
The 911 call begins at that point.
"I've got a gun on a guy that's in my business," the store owner says. "Get the cops here."
"Where are you at?" inquires the 911 operator.
After the store owner gives his address and the name of his business, he says again "Get 'em here."
The operator responds by asking "Why do you have a gun on him?"
The store owner calmly explains "because he's in my business after hours."
At this point, the intruder can again be seen approaching the store owner, and moving himself out of the cameras' view.
The operator can be heard asking "who is this person?", just as the store owner is heard giving the intruder commands, and the operator asks again, "Who is this person?"

Simply appalling. How much training do these 911 operators get?? Why would she ever think that the man who called 911 was the bad guy??
Moral of the story: pump off a round into the ceiling, then tell the 911 operator to forget the police, just send the meat wagon from the morgue. The cops will get there in a hurry.
That 911 operator needs to be fired.
Good Grief, this business owner needs to relocate to Texas.
OMG. I hope the 911 operator receives some much needed training. I don’t think she listened to him at all, let alone knew what was going on. What is the big deal with telling a caller who might be in jeopardy “Don’t be brief with me”?? I’m glad with all her delays and nonsense that the business owner wasn’t hurt.
Ping.
But I'm not a nice person.
Citizen action is NOT appreciated by local constabulary.

Never. Always know your target, always know background. What goes up will come down. Generally, with the same V.
Besides, who wants to fix an overhead?

SCOTUS has ruled so, and the police association lawyers have fought hard to keep it that way.

After about 30 seconds of the 911 nonsense, here’s my reply:
“You send the cops to this address and then hang up the phone and go review your training manual.” CLICK!!
Stories like this lead me to conclude that's being unfair to the computer.
When seconds count, 911 will be there in minutes
Yeah, where the tape of you shooting the advancing crooks can be used against you in a court of law.
Our shamed DA Chuck Rosenthal (Rino) was against private use of guns for self-defense. That’s the boys in blue’s job.
He’s gone now. Somehow I don’t think the attitudes will change in the fall election.
It’s a good thing the County showed up, their dispatcher got it right, If Coulmbus had shown up, their dispatcher would have had them shooting at the property owner.
Tell them there is an officer down. They will be there in 5 minutes guns drawn...
You have to be smart enough to tell them what community you are in.
Last time I needed a 911 operator, the guy at the Naval Air Station transferred me immediately to the correct folks. Of course, first words out of my mouth after I heard him answer were "I need **** *****). 10 seconds later, my wish was granted.
