Lawyers Argue Muhammad Had Mitigating Factors
Jurors might not have sentenced convicted sniper John Allen Muhammad to death if they had known that he was abused as a child, that he has brain damage and that there were conflicting witness accounts to some of the shootings, Muhammad's appeals lawyers argued in court papers this week.

Poor neglected terrorist sniper, he once got soggy french fries in his McDonald’s UnHappy Meal. Surely he should be spared the death penalty for -that- unfortunate childhood event? Are we barbarians or what?

He sure shouldn’t be as his monstrous actions put many innocent people in an early grave.
He deserves to be punished accordingly and unfortunately the system is a joke in these cases.
It will take time but in the end justice will be served.
Sorry to be so verbose but your post made my night. It’s hard to get a chuckle when this “maggot” is the subject.
Brevity is the soul of wit.

When someone does something that freakazoid, we assume something really strange must have happened along the way to make him that evil.
Maybe his parents were mean to him, maybe he got caught up in some kind of evil death cult, who’s to say.
Either way, it doesn’t change the appropriate penalty for a serial, lay-in-wait mass murderer. Its the hangman’s rope, or whatever is the modern equivalent these days. He should ask God’s forgiveness, ask God to save his soul, and then go to the gallows like a man.

To: kingattax
I’m a firm believer in taking mitigating factors into consideration. Being an abused child is not a mitigating factor, unless he was charged with shooting his abuser, which he wasn’t. His victims were anonymous and completely innocent.
Incinerate him already...........

“John Allen Muhammad”
Shouldn’t we be calling him: “John Allen”? To be constantly associating the nobel religion of Islam with a murdering puke is just wrong.

They may not have convicted him “if they had known that he was abused as a child, that he has brain damage and that there were conflicting witness accounts to some of the shootings,”
then again maybe they would have. . .
How do we know?
That’s what trials are for. Give the info you want at the trial, then shut up, unless sudden new evidence comes to light.
