judge roy bean woulda hung him and most likely those dandified lawyers too within 30 minutes after the trial ended.
I’m a firm believer in taking mitigating factors into consideration. Being an abused child is not a mitigating factor, unless he was charged with shooting his abuser, which he wasn’t. His victims were anonymous and completely innocent.
