RUSH: Do you remember the genesis of MoveOn.org? The whole point of MoveOn.org, it was a Clinton front group. "Move on," meant, "Can't we move on from the impeachment? Can't we move on from all of these scandals? Can't we move on from all of these little Chihuahuas yapping at the heels of the Clintons? Can't we just move on?" With that in mind, in February 2008 in a closed door fundraiser (phone quality here), this is Mrs. Clinton talking about MoveOn.org.

I mean, that's what we're dealing with. ... They know I don't agree with them. So they flood into these caucuses and dominate them and really intimidate people who actually show up to support me.
RUSH: Were you able to make that out? You weren't able to? I can hear it and you guys couldn't? You know what? I know why I could hear it, because I've got a transcript here, so I sort of had closed-captioning. Here's what she said -- and this is February of this year. "We have been less successful in caucuses because it brings out the activist base of the Democratic Party. MoveOn didn't even want us to go into Afghanistan. I mean, that's what we're dealing with. ... They know I don't agree with them. So they flood into these caucuses and dominate them and really intimidate people who actually show up to support me." So Mrs. Clinton ripped MoveOn.org, an organization founded to help the country forget them and their scandals, ripping the Democrat base because they're running in and intimidating people into not voting for her in these caucus states. I wish I could lay claim here to part of this with Operation Chaos, but I can't. This is long before Operation Chaos was brilliantly conceived and began its flawless execution.
Let's review. (laughter) It gets bigger, you mean in terms of intimidating Clintonites? If you've read some of these left-wing blogs, MoveOn.org, I don't care where, they are threatening people. They're unstable. I can imagine some of these clowns showing up at some old lady's house where a caucus is taking place in Iowa, and basically threatening to burn it down, whatever they were doing. Not literally, of course, but, whew! Anyway, the idea that there's any unity in the Democrat Party, anybody's going to bring unity to the Democrat Party is just a joke.

There are many on FR who believe Operation Chaos is a big mistake. There are many on FR who believe Clinton now is targeting 2012. I, for one, don’t get their thinking.
Whoever loses the DIMocrat nomination will be toast in 2012. And if the winner of the nomination doesn’t get elected in November, they too will be toast. Clinton will have only a slim chance for the 2012 nomination, and Obama would have even less of a chance.
As for Operation Chaos, much of the disarray in Dimocrat primary politics has been self-inflicted. Operation Chaos, while fun, has been a side show. There’s simply not enough Republicans who’ve crossed over to make a major impact. Some impact? Yes. Major? No.
Now, I’m not saying it shouldn’t happen, or that I disagree with Rush. I’m with him on this. It’s just that it’s icing on the cake; it’s not the batter.
Hillary knows this is her one and only shot at the White House. She’ll wind up on the democrat’s scrap heap along with Kerry, Gore, etc if she can’t pull this off. Obama on the other hand has a chance in 2012 or 2016. Hillary is ticked off at uppity Obama who cut in line and is giving her the finger.
The volume of advertising from Hussein O'Bammy is incredible. The guy is running ads on every tv and radio station in Indianapolis at least once per half hour. His funding has to be monstrous.
It will be tough to keep Hillary alive but I think we can do it.

So basically what Rush is saying is that between Hillary and Obama as President, he’d take Hillary.
This will end up giving her the Presidency, even though it limits Obama to VP only.
At this point, I think this may be a mistake.
A Hillary nomination is more centrist and appeals to more independents than an Obama nomination. She is much more dangerous as a winner with a Democrat Congress.
An Obama nomination leaves her out in the cold where she will NOT tolerate being. She will work to get him beaten so she can try again in 2012. A force of McCain, independents and the Clintons can likely beat Obama.
The reverse is not true. Obama would not work to defeat her because he has far more time to try again.
She is going to win Pennsylvania and continue, but Indiana and North Carolina would be good places to stop her. She can rest firmly assured of the nomination in 2012 if Obama is beaten by McCain.
There's another recent thread on what Rush has said about beating Obama. He speaks of how even some Republicans like Obama because he's cool. To beat him, Republicans will have to use things that break through that cool, hip, futurist demeanor of his. Things such as his associations with racists, communists, etc. just aren't going to do it because he's "cool".
But in another part of the thread he deals with the fact that Obama, regardless of his "cool" just can't put Hillary away once-and-for-all. And this is what I want to point out. When you say "I think we can do it", please understand that the largest affect on her staying in the race is her own strength. She is determined to win. Why? Because as I pointed out, if she loses this time she's toast. She knows that. So does Obama about his future. And that's why we've seen the DIMocrat race turn so ugly. They both know the stakes, and what the future holds for the loser.
So, have fun. And do what you can. I'm behind you 100%. But know this, they've created their own mess, and will continue on because it's what they have to do. This election, if lost by them, will be a much larger defeat for the DIMocrats than we can imagine. They (especially Hillary) entered the primary season EXPECTING to win easily and gain the White House. Today, it doesn't look anywhere near a sure thing. And if they lose, especially after being so confident, watch out.

If Hillary gets the nominee - and WINS - it will just give Republicans something else to fight about amongst ourselves. "It's your fault!! You went with Operation Chaos!! You voted for Hillary and look what happened!"
With Mormons fighting "true" Christians, pro-lifers fighting pro-choicers, ED's fighting evos, Libertarians fighting Republicans ... don't we have enough to fight about?

If Obama gets the nom, he will not pick Hillary, he needs to distance himself from the past, the scandals, and BILL! Obama will not bring out the center-left voters, and the Clintons will work behind the scenes to sabatoge his campaign, clearing a path for Hillary in 2012.
This has been fun, but it is time to take the BWitch out of the equation, and finish off the job the Clintons have started - dismantling the empty suit Obama.
McCain’s not too old now, she won’t be too old in 2012, especially when younger than him.
You are correct. She is more the centrist and thus more of a threat to take independent votes.
There is never any value in playing with an opponent and allowing him or her to start first and 10 at your own 10 yard line before you start fighting.
She will win PA. It won’t be by 20%. The key state is North Carolina. If Obama wins there, he will have a substantial popular vote and pledged delegate lead. Backstabbing him then would cripple her ability to get black votes.
As long as he doesn’t pick her for VP, she will work to get him beaten — even when he picks another woman. That would enrage her no end and she will definitely work to get him defeated.
