Considering how Bush never prosecuted other Democrats for doing the same BS that Carter is doing, Considering that the very first act of the New President Carter, on his first day in office, was to pardon the likes of John Kerry and his treason - meeting 3 times with the Viet Con in Paris while still in uniform, an act that should have put him in jail and prevented, by law, his ever holding any elected office - even dog-catcher - under Constitutional LAW - and considering NO ONE has been charged with the Logan Act in 200 years, I think it disingenuous to single out Pres. Bush as the single slacker here. But hey, never let a chance to slam Bush get away...
There's a motion in the house to yank peanut-brain's passport. That's where the action needs to take place.
And that's where the American people's responsibility lies - flood DC with demands this be enacted. If you don't, YOU are a slacker.
Funny how so-called conservatives want less gov't but sit back and demand gov't do everything without THEM having to raise a hand. This is a participatory gov't. Participate.
I've sent my emails. Have you?

I wish Carter a very dignified and well-attended State funeral.
Ditto for me. I am sick of this moron interjecting his stupidity onto the world stage. I guess he just can't allow himself to realize what an utter failure his presidency was, and meddling this way allows him to keep rejecting the truth of it.

I wasn’t familiar with her, but after briefly browsing her website, I hope McCain is considering her for VP

Back when President Bush was backing the McCain/Kennedy bill, Sue Myrick wrote Bush a letter stating “not just no, but HELL NO to this immigration bill.” I don't think she's what McCain is looking for.

Carter is incompetent no doubt about that but why anyone continues this charade called the “peace process” is beyond me. It just seems that only events of biblical proportions can resolve this cesspool of hatred.

It doesn’t matter who paid because the State Dept reserves the right to tell any American Citizen traveling overseas who they can or can’t meet with.

You can’t just take someone good and unknown like this and throw them into the VP position. Look what happened to Dan Quayle. The inter/national media would eat her alive.

----------------------------
Unfortunately the article doesn't support the headline, rather confirms Carter's version of events.
"I just don't want there to be any confusion," Rice said. "The United States is not going to deal with Hamas and we had certainly told President Carter that we did not think meeting with Hamas was going to help" further a political settlement between Israel and the Palestinians.
Not thinking it's going to help isn't a warning, it's a meaningless position statement. If the State Dept. didn't want Jimmah meeting with Hamas, then he should have been told No, you can't meet with Hamas, it's against the law for an American citizen to do that without authorization.
