Quotes: Twenty Foreign Policy Quotes by Liberals

“One hundred nations in the UN have not agreed with us on just about everything that’s come before them, where we’re involved, and it didn’t upset my breakfast at all.” –Ronald Reagan, on the international reaction to the U.S. invasion of Grenada, November 3, 1983

The above quote just about summed up The Great Communicator’s take on pegging U.S. foreign policy to international approval rates.

Liberals take a different view. Seemingly, liberals equate international approval-–especially by the Europeans–-with the worthiness of a U.S. foreign policy goal.

What would American foreign policy look like under Democrats/liberals? Forget about Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, the last two Democrat presidents, and let them tell it in their own words.

Twenty liberal quotes about the United States and other countries.

“There was no imminent threat. This was made up in Texas, announced in January to the Republican leadership that war was going to take place and was going to be good politically. This whole thing was a fraud.” –Edward Kennedy, Democrat Senator, MA. Kennedy also said “We’ve known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeing and developing weapons of mass destruction.” September 27, 2002.

“The greatest crime since World War II has been U.S. foreign policy.” –Ramsey Clark, former Democrat Attorney General

“[T]he war in Iraq has done more to embolden America’s enemies than any strategic choice that we have made in decades.” –Barack Obama, Democrat presidential candidate, March 19, 2008

Democrats/liberals always try to mute the effects of what they actually have said--usually to Democrat/liberal audiences--when it becomes known to the larger American public.

"Spin", "misspeak", "taken out of context" and "confused" are all excuses used when their real intentions get reported.

This one is my favorite!

“Our paradigm now seems to be: something terrible happened to us on September 11, and that gives us the right to interpret all future events in a way that everyone else in the world must agree with us. And if they don’t, they can go straight to hell.”

–Bill Clinton, former Democrat president who was “obsessed with terrorism”

They are simply misunderstood because of the “vast right wing conspiracy.”

The recipe to become a liberal:

1) Forget everything you have ever learned about economics, foreign policy, or history.

2) Substitute feelings for thoughts. Make your primary feelings hate and envy. Hate everything other people love, like family, country, religion, knowledge, freedom and humor.

3) Win arguments by talking and not listening. If you accidentally hear what someone else said, curse them, then continue to talk.

4) Trust that by taking away from others and tearing down others you will improve your own life.

5) Horribly resent being inferior, and always pretend to be superior. It is better to be a prince in Hell than a servant in Heaven.

6) Death is your god. Death offers you far more than life ever could. You wish you had the power of life and death over others.
