A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 200,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY

Welcome to Warm Fuzzy Wednesday at the Finest. For those who start counting the days on Monday until the weekend, we're halfway there! So we're here to banish those doldrums and make you smile inside! Please feel free to post sweet graphics and/or little stories that make you feel all warm and fuzzy - or just come by and give us a smile. Only two more days 'til the weekend!

Looking forward to it mainly because I get to sleep later than 0430 and I’ll get to see some place I’ve never been.

No so much looking forward to the hectic prepping and work schedule.

Have fun in the yard, but don’t over do it.

Defining Moment
You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good . . . to save many people alive. —Genesis 50:20

One year ago, people around the world were stunned by a shooting rampage that left 32 victims dead on the campus of Virginia Tech University. In the aftermath, the mother of one critically wounded student who survived said she did not want the ordeal to become the defining moment in her son's life. Instead, she hoped it could be "something positive, some great celebration of his life."

When the unthinkable happens, it may seem impossible to believe that anything can overcome the emotional scars. Yet, the life of Joseph offers a powerful illustration of God's transforming power (Gen. 37–50). The brothers who sold him into slavery were sure he would take revenge on them (50:15-17). But Joseph told them, "You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive" (v.20).

When we place our desire for revenge in God's hands, we become participants in the remarkable process described by Paul: "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Rom. 12:21).

The defining moments of our lives are not determined by the evil done to us, but by our response through the grace and power of God.

When rough the path from day to day,
When sorrows fill our eyes with tears,
Our choice to find our hope in Christ
Can lift our soul and calm our fears. —D. De Haan

Let danger drive you to Jesus.

It’s a bit scary to have a coyote around. I hope you never see him again.

Good morning to my two favorite posters. : )

Looks like all of us will be enjoying a nice day, we deserve it. I wish we had more hummingbirds up here they are tough to find. I saw them quite a bit in Tucson.

Coyotes are a nuisance, we used to see and hear them all the time in Tucson. Up here I occasionally hear them but hardly ever see them.

Problem is we live on an island and the population of coyotes is growing. I never really heard packs of them until last year. Now at night we can hear them in the woods.

:)
I'm hoping that because we live on a island here, they wouldn't be bothered to get here. You have too many on your island, I sure hope we never see them. I was just reading about them and their packs. I have read the population is growing and they are moving to more and more states.

I have seen gorgeous Hummingbird pictures that are from near Tuscon..

If I saw a pack of coyotes I would REALLY be worried about my other critters in the neighborhood.

We need to kill them off. They can be a real problem if let run loose in communities.

And that is where a big problem is, they will go after smaller animals and also get into your trash in search for food.

My trash is always in the garage except on trash day but I do worry about the critters and pet cats.

We have raccoons here and they would be after the trash, too.
The raccoons “wash up” in my birdbath so I have to clean it every morning.
