1) Did Rush give Hillary new life because he wanted to show that he still had influence, and will that fact allow the Dem's to avoid a crushing democratic defeat?
2) Did Hannity put the scoop and ratings ahead of the country's welfare by not holding the Rev. Wright stuff till the Dem race was settled?
The MSM were stating (incorrectly, as usual), that somehow McCain getting the nomination showed that conservatives weren't following the "commands" of talk radio, so, hence, Limbaugh, et al had lost their influence. In reality, conservatives, for the most part, weren't voting for McCain. He was winning mainly with the votes of moderates and (where allowed) Dems, while conservatives were splitting their voted among other candidates. THAT's what happened. It had nothing to do with the influence, or lack thereof, of Limbaugh, Hannity, etc.
Now again, how does questioning the sexuality of Dr. Rice on a previous thread, as you did, help advance conservatism?!?!
Her overall negatives are even higher than Obama's. That's why so many Dems were moving to Obama; they were looking for somebody, ANYBODY to vote for, rather than Her Heinous.
If she ends up beating out Obama, I'm thinking a large number of younger Dem voters and black voters just won't show up at the polls in Nov., out of pure disgust.

2) If it was ABC, can we at least agree that Hannity and Rush played the biggest part in giving it legs?

I agree that Rush and Hannity have been great warriors in the culture war, but in our camp are we never to voice criticism about our leaders.

I'm a cultural conservative. I don't want somebody who is gay, or is a workaholic, or doesn't have experience being a faithful spouse and parent. Those are bad indicators, especially when you consider her unwillingness to come out as unabashedly social conservative.
That's a snap shot that's three days old and probably already no longer true.
I don't see how a candidate who has Rev. Wright, etc tied around his neck could escape accumulating historic negative by the time the Swiftboaters got through with him.
I won't either, but IF my only chance of retaining my very lucrative job after early '09 rested on the VERY slim possibility that John McCain MIGHT veto the Fairness Doctrine, I would consider voting for him due to my obvious self interest.

Maybe this has nothing to do with Condi, maybe this is your own Rorschach test. Do you see gay people every where? Do you wonder often who is or isn't gay? Do you have gay on the brain all day long?
Here is a little clue. *if* she is, so what? Being gay doesn't automatically program you to be liberal. We are conservatives, we don't look at the label, we look at the individual. The fact that you first assume (or at least bring up) she is gay, then ascribe a full plethora of beliefs based on that one label, makes me seriously doubt you are who you intend to portray. It is liberals who say, you are XX therefore you must think XX way. That is not a Conservative mindset.
