McCain advisers tied to foreign lobbying (1 paid $720 thou by Mexico to advance amnesty for aliens)
Washington Times ^ | 04/11/2008 | Jim McElhatton and Jerry Seper

Two of Sen. John McCain's top advisers and fundraisers are among several Republican and Democratic presidential campaign officials whose lobbying firms have been paid more than $15 million by foreign governments since 2005.

The firms of McCain senior adviser Charlie Black, who until recently was the chairman of Washington-based BKSH & Associates, and campaign co-chairman Thomas G. Loeffler, who heads the Loeffler Group in San Antonio, received millions of dollars lobbying the White House, Congress and others as agents of nearly a dozen foreign clients in recent years.

c Rob Allyn, head of the Dallas-based Allyn & Co., a public relations, advertising and political media firm, who was paid $720,000 by the Mexican government in 2006 to polish its image and call for a guest worker program for millions of Mexican nationals illegally in the United States.

The lobbying efforts came at a time Congress and the White House were debating comprehensive immigration-reform legislation, which was defeated in June. Then-President Vicente Fox was an outspoken critic of the proposed legislation.

Mr. Black and Mr. Loeffler also are listed by Mr. McCain's campaign Web site as bundlers, expected to collect thousands of dollars in donations from several sources to bypass federal election laws limiting individual contributors to a $2,300 maximum donation.

“Many liberals, Ted Turner for one, are very much in favor of limiting our population, sending twenty million folks back to their homes is right in line with that thinking. “

You would think, huh? But, no, Ted and friends are all for open borders. It’s you and me they want gone. Kinda like McCain.

This makes me want to vomit. All over John McCain.

The line forms over there, on the right. ;)

Thanks for making that so clear. I though there was only one person left on this forum who says such nonsense. McCain must be inspiring his minions.

So long as we continue to allow them such bald and unabashed attempts at redefining the actual argument until it fits the absurd "Bazooka Joe" confines of their preferred narrative, their efforts will be artifically extended that much longer, and the manifest danger to this nation continues to grow exponentially.

We need to continually keep them honest, plainly... because (much like their anointed RINO savior du jour) they give every indication of being either unable or unwilling to handle the job themselves.

Obama's remarks at a San Francisco fundraiser: "You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them... And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." *

....For all intents and purposes 95% of Mexicans who want to legitimately come to the US have no legal way of obtaining a visa, other than waiting indefinitely for a lottery

So where is this OUR problem. Seems like the government of the sovereign country of Mexico has the problem. We are NOT obligated to take every foreigner that wants to come here into this country. As for the '40 year old formula' why are we obligated to do something about it? What international law, court, group has authority over us?

As for the 50 million illegals, you also don't have any way of knowing that there aren't. I can see them everywhere I go and I'd tend to believe the high side rather than the low side as you are implying.

Absolutely astounding how the Team Juan shills hereabouts reflexively shriek "You sound just like Obama!," whenever at a panicked loss to spastically attempt a point any other way... but, Lo and Behold! Who does their boy MOST phonetically resemble, note for sour, warbled note, in this argument...?

" [...] they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

HAH!!!

I responded earlier to your statement that keeping out well intentioned people, etc., is not the way America works. Here’s how our immigration policy worked over more than 150 years:

http://web.missouri.edu/~brente/immigr.htm

We’ve definitely let people in and kept people out at different times, and that is the way American works.

I just read that! Obama is as condescending as McCain is. I’m sorry, just don’t see much difference in them. Heck, maybe we can push McCain as a minority...Albino! lol

So, the constant statements of “go home and get in line and come back legally” are empty statements. Only a fraction will ever be able to do that.

And that really seems to be bugging wideawake.

And if Wideawake values her US citizenship so little, wants to see her children or grandchildren grow up in a third world country or wishes to turn this country into nothing more than a sweatshop, she should find another country that she likes better.

All I have to say to her, again, about all the people who don't get to come here, is "Boo-freaking-hoo". We have the most generous immigration laws in the world, and I don't want the nation of my birth destroyed to satisfy her socialist fantasies. If she becomes upset because she'll never get to be queen of England, should the law, tradition and the world be changed to make her happy?

Wideawake needs to grow up, act like a big girl and realize the world will never measure up to the utopian fantasies she first envisioned as a Vassar Coed.

Are you saying that the US is not currently a sovereign nation?

You can call a nation whatever you wish. But, if a nation can't control its own borders, indeed, it is quickly losing its sovereignity.

Free countries do not close their doors to peaceful and well-intentioned people.

Leave us your address and phone number. When, say, only 10% of the 6,000,000,000 in the world want to come here, we'll send them to you.

In a previous post, you stated:

However, denying anyone access to the US who has a clean record, who wants to work and who has a job offer is not the way America works.

Throw open the doors, and you'll have the Bush's and the Kennedies creating jobs for people who'll work for the scraps their dogs leave behind...your criteria can easily be satisfied as the one-worlders of both parties race to see who can bring America down the fastest.

How about the ones who already have businesses and property? Will their property be seized? Their businesses closed by the police?

Who freakin' cares?!

If they have businesses or properties they probably committed felonies buying those businesses or properties by using a fraudulent ID in the process.

They should be in prison, not having bleeding-heart liberals, such as yourself, crying about them.

If everyone in the world who wants to come to this country is allowed in, then USA would no longer be USA. While there are unpopulated areas in this country, they often lack the water supply or for other reason are unsuitable for communities.

I do not want to see Gettysburg or other historical sites torn down to accommodate swarms of illegals, many of them exhibiting a sociopathic sense of entitlement as they demonstrate in our streets, demand perks, and file lawsuits against us.

We need to protect our country. Having masses of illegal aliens roaming the countryside and then providing amnesty for them will only harm the USA.

As usual, Ace of Spades has the falling-down funniest take ever on Obama's latest case of stumble-tongue:

Hey guys-—did you see this one? -———”Latina-Republican”-———

That’s a laugh——a hyhenated Republican.

Everybody knows hyphenating is anathema to conservative Republicans.

Looks like the obsessed Reconquistadores are surveiling Americans......and compiling info to report back to the Mehico Reconquista Office.

Maybe the hyphenated-agents will get a free Taco Bell enchilada for their trouble.

ROTFLOL.
