To Code Pink and friends: I think this is how General George S. Patton would sum things up and then catch holy hell from Ike.
He sure had a unique way of expressing his thoughts.
A Message from the Ghost of General Patton: ATTENTION! To ALL those whining, panty-waisted, pathetic Maggots, its time for a little refresher course on exactly why we Americans occasionally have to fight wars.
See if you can tear yourself away from your reality TV and Starbucks for a minute, pull your head out of your flabby ass and LISTEN UP!

This is one person's version.
Because someone had to say it.
Interesting postulation of what George S. Patton would say.
DocRock,
You’re right, I do love it! ThanX!
SandRat,
Actually, I think if Patton had really said it, it would have a lot stronger language—just to make sure his point was made.
I also don’t think he’d have been quite so diplomatic.
BRA-VO!!!!
see #3.
"You need to overcome the tug of people against you as you reach for high goals."
"It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived."
"It is only by doing things others have not that one can advance."
"Perpetual peace is a futile dream."
"Lead me, follow me, or get out of my way. "
It’s so well done.
Patton was a warrior not a P.C. idiot. One of the last of his kind. He understood you won by if possible quick and precise battles which broke the will of not only the enemy but their people as well. I doubt he would have much use for Cold Pink nor George because both Cold Pink and Bush though on opposite sides about Iraq are wrong on war in general.
It’s hard to argue with any of your points. I didn’t write the piece, only the intro.
But I thoroughly agreed with the salient point about those who wish death on Americans battling against her enemies.
Also, I thought it made a good point about those who think you can hug or wish away those enemies.
If I wrote on the mistakes made in this war—or any war, for that matter—I’d be tied up for the next 18 months, I believe.
Thanks, missed that one and its great.
Wish somehow this could be played on all stations during prime time
Would drive the moonbats up a wall but just might penetrate some uninformed and other clueless moderates out here.
That was great!
That was phenomenol!!!! or however you spell it! Fantastic!
I have a couple of issues with the actor playing the ghost of Patton.
1) Not ALL religions are about freedom. That itself is PC bullsh*t.
2) Reports from the field during WWll went something like this......today, the front line advanced 20 miles.....We’re almost to Berlin. Well, the front line took Baghdad 5 years ago and the beautiful Iraqi people are still planting roadside bombs killing people from my country. A pilot I know flew an 8 year old Iraqi boy to one of our hospitals for treatment after he blew off half of his face when an explosive went off that he was trying to kill American soldiers with. So I don’t give a damned about actors doing PR promos for Bush’s kinder, gentler war accusing others of being PC.
I've been refered to as a Cold Pink by some. I'm not anti-war. But I think such greats as Patton, McArthur, Sherman, Forrest, and others have the right concept on how to fight and win. It's a moral obligation owed to those asked to risk and lay down their lives to give them that agenda. The U.S. leadership cringes at killing civilians yet ignores historical precidents for war established even by GOD himself. That's the reason I consider it an absolute act which is among the most serious our leaders can commit us to. Punishing our troops with insane ROE's is tops on the list with what is wrong.
I would not condemn soldiers for deeds in the act of war nor will I second guess the split second decessions they may need to make in taking human life from the lowest private to the highest general. I sure as the devil would not send a U.S. service member to apologize to the people we are at war with. Wars are punishments and in some cases Divine Judgements against nations set up by chains of events to happen.
As for Iraq and Iran? Maybe they would be far more happy as sworn enemies once again fighting each other? Maybe it would be wise for us to pop some popcorn and simply sit back and watch.
He’d slap ‘em....
No ... He slap the shite out of them!
Seems a little wordy for Patton. I think he’d just shoot them.
