SONNY Bono, former husband and singing partner of superstar Cher, was clubbed to death by hitmen on the orders of drug and weapons dealers, an ex-FBI agent claims.
Ted Gunderson, now a private investigator, has told the US Globe tabloid that Bono, who served as mayor of Palm Springs for four years, did not die after hitting a tree on a Nevada ski slope in January 1998 as everyone believed.

I was gonna say that Gunderson name sounded familiar. Now I see why.
I wonder why "reporters" never ask these conspiracy nuts to produce proof?
Bums still cry “Hey buddy can you solve this crime?”
LOL!
Don’t you just love this more today than yesterday but not as much as tomorrow?
One of the ski patrol members had accidently left his radio mike in the open position. By analyzing the sound using computer enhancement, a very telltale rectal explosion is heard milliseconds before he yells sh*t and all sound is cut off.
This investigation was performed by the very same lab that had announced the exact speed of Teddy’s car going off the bridge at Chappaquidick. It was exactly 87 mph. It was determined that was the speed necessary to knock off a pair of panties and have them land folded in the glove compartment of a car.
These CSI guys are good.
It’s like they say: celebrities die in trees.
lol!
He was a great American. I still miss Sonny Bono.
Wonder when Ted Gunderson’s book about this incident will hit the market?
Funny...FUNNY...FUNNY!!!
Ahhh, but the lone tree was on the grassy mogul!
oh oh oh!!!
That hurts!
;-)
I live near Heavenly Valley, and this was big news around here, when it happened. There were witnesses.
The run where he died is called Olympic Downhill. It is at the north end, of the Nevada side, of the Heavenly Valley resort. Olympic Downhill is an intermediate run, that is generally well groomed, fairly open, and not very crowded.
Some skiers like to make a fast run there from time to time, because it is easy to go fast, and stay well away from other skiers, if it is fairly empty. In the 90s, the ski patrol would generally look the other way (not pull your ticket), if you were going fast, but doing it very safely (missing other skiers by 100 feet or so).
Sonny Bono was an expert skier, and witnesses said that he was going fast, in a tuck. The only unusual thing was that he stopped making steering adjustments just before his accident. He went straight off the run and head first into a tree. He was wearing a helmet, but hit far too hard to survive.
There was a lot of speculation, around here, at the time. The only theories that seemed to make any sense, were suicide, drugs, and stroke. I never heard what the coroner concluded, but I think he tested negative for drugs. I believe they also dismissed suicide. Normally a stroke would be detectable, but major brain trauma a few seconds after a minor stroke, might make it undectable.
Without further information, I tend to believe the stroke theory.
Two or three a year die on Mt Hood and Bachelor, not that surprising.

Check out post #35 as well...
You are no slouch either.
Thank you. Too much valium is the last on what I learned led to his slow reflexes. I miss him still, and may he RIP.
