By now, most McCain haters will have already skipped down to the comments section to post their expletives and tell me how its a free country and they have a 1st Amendment right, etc. to yammer on and on about how bad McCain sucks, totally missing the point of my post, again. But Im here to tell you, in this free country, that in my opinion, you should SHUT YOUR STINKIN TRAP! To all you ingrates, rageaholics, and self-absorbed punks, WE KNOW YOU HATE MCCAIN. You can give yourself a rest now and stop posting on every single thread the same exact comments. Im not going to name names, but I will if I have to. I think we all know by now who Im talking about. The folks who post the same pictures and the same comments on EVERY SINGLE THREAD. We got it. You arent voting for McCain. Fine. Time to move on. Yes, thats my opinion. You have had enough time to accept the reality that John Sidney McCain III, WAR HERO, is the Republican nominee. Some folks on FR have used this time to learn more about Johnny, realize that he isnt as bad as they thought, grow up, act like adults, and get in gear to vote for him. Some of you have decided not only to beat your collective dead horse everyday, banging out the same tiresome gripes about McCain on every thread, but youve also gotten increasingly VITRIOLIC. Im talking about the following trash:
1. Saying McCain isnt really a war hero because (insert stupid lie here.)
2. Declaring that McCain urged the U.S. government to leave other POWs back in Vietnam (for what reason would he do this exactly? Dont bother, I dont want to hear your lies anymore.)
3. Insulting other FR posters who like or support Johnny by using profanity, vulgarity, and name calling. YOU ARE DIMINISHING FR with your hostile poststhis kind of stuff belongs on low rent leftie sites like DU, or Daily Kos, not FREE REPUBLIC, the shining star of conservative websites.
4. AND FINALLY, the filthiest load in the McCain Haters verbal trebuchet: wishing, hoping or praying that John Sidney McCain III would come to some misfortune which would prevent him from living to be President. THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST DISGUSTING. How can you wish that a decent, G-d fearing man who suffered and sacrificed out of love for this country, who, BY THE GRACE OF G-D, survived five years of torture and imprisonment only to return to service in the militaryhow could you wish him anything but a long, long life? Shameful. And dont DARE try to suggest that you are any better in moral character or principle than the angry liberal scum who wish ill upon President Bush or our troops. If your definition of conservative is to rage daily and most repulsively against our next President, then please call me a right wing Reaganite traditionalist because I want no part of your scene. I realize that some talk show hosts like Laura Ingraham, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity dont like Johnny, but I dont recall hearing them praying for his untimely demise. No, that is the talk of the dregs of society, not adults who have their act together.
And just a heads up to all the McCain haters: I am ignoring your tirades henceforth. I cant stop you from posting your garbage, but I certainly dont have acknowledge it. Basically, the point of posts from people who like Johnny these days is to share daily news: tracking polls, statements he has made, who he is touring with, speeches he has given, leaders he has met with, etc. What is YOUR point? To seek out people to commiserate with? To insult fellow conservatives whove decided having a responsible leader in a time of war trumps giving the GOP a spanking? To try and rally others to joins the haters camp?
Are you going to do this for the next several years? If so, the best advice I can give to the non-haters is to wade through the rage and seek out the decent and the productive on FR. Do not waste your time debating the haters, because they seem to thrive on self-righteousness and rage. Try as they might, they have given absolutely no GOOD reason to allow a dem to win the presidency. Their continued daily rantings about why they hate McCain, on EVERY thread about him, only serve to define their insanity.
I seek out those of like mind. G-d Bless John Sidney McCain III.
P.S. McCain haters, please review the link in order to familiarize yourselves with the sound of Skank's voice so you can hear his directive in your head when you are about to post something vile.
Really? What does it say? I think it says that I recognize that we’re dealing with reality and we have a choice that will have real implications in the real world.
It captures both of our views perfectly.
Ah...so when I asked whether you could cite any real leadership experience on the part of Seantors Clinton and Obama, that wasn't a legitimate question?
For crying out loud think about the Constitution of the United States and the principles this country was founded on! Many of us are searching for a way in which a George Washington can emerge from the political ocean while you are trying to tread water in a swirling, descending pool of sewage.
Hey junior, grab a clue: I was a Duncan Hunter supporter almost a year before you joined this board. I suspect that if Hunter (or Tancredo, Thompson or Romney) were the nominee you would still be here disrupting, but if you're what you claim you are you should get a grip and realize that a lot of people who now support McCain were opposing him a year ago.
But though I preferred other candidates, I know that one of the following three people will be President on January 20, 2009:
Hillary Clinton
John McCain
Barack Obama
Given those choices, there is no question who to support.
Now, you may think that you're still going to find George Washington this year, but if you do think that I haven't seen any discussion of how to do it. I've seen you run McCain down, I've seen you question my patriotism because I want our fighting men to have a leader who isn't an idiot newbie. But I haven't seen a plan, just whining.
So here's the deal, newbie...you claim you're around the military a lot? Well then, follow their advice: Lead, follow or get out of the way. Let's hear your plan, or let's hear some real resoans it will be good for the country if hillary or Obama becomes president, but let's hear something besides whining and pocketa, OK?
Look there is nothing good that is going to come from a Hilary or Obama presidency. I am saying that McCain is little if any better. Maybe he would do better than Hilary or Obama when it comes to the war on terror, but we can’t say that is a fact, it is only an assumption. I have seen him go over to the dimocrat side too often. I have heard him insult Christians and conservatives alike. He wants an open border which any terrorist could cross. He gets an F rating on the Second Amendment from GOA, and he is showing signs of senility. I could go on but you know this already.
I believe we as a nation are at a turning point in our history. We resemble the Roman Empire in its last few years when its citizens would not even rise to the defense of their nation. The citizens of Rome came to love their bread and circuses so much they cared for nothing else. Now may be the opportunity, maybe the last, to begin turning this country around. I am not whining, I am pleading with people to wake up to the larger picture, to reclaim the Constitution. and work for the future.
If Hunter, Tancredo, or Thompson would have won the GOP nomination I would not be doing this. If, however, the best the GOP voters can do is give us John McCain then something seriously needs to be changed. The voters of the Republican party had there chance to vote conservative, but they picked a candidate that more closely resembles a moderate to liberal democrat than a conservative.
As we all know is a citizens duty to vote, and a citizens right to vote for whom he or she wishes. I am telling you though, a vote for McCain is little different than enabling a drug addict by giving him money. You would be enabling the party to offer up one non-conservative after another. At sometime the party has to be either abandonned or starved to death by witholding votes and money. I think this is the time, and evidently given McCains inability to raise money from Republicans there must be quite a few that agree with me. And while I apparently will never convince you, a whole lot of people read these posts and I may very well have convinced one or two of them.
As for what I am doing, I spoke to a group of people yesterday, around 150 or so, about the threats facing our nation and our culture. Mostly I spoke about how shameful it was that so few Americans took part in elections, and how disrespectful it was for politicians to offer the vote to illegal aliens, which devalues the sacred rights of citizenship. Hopefully, I will have more opportunities to speak before other groups.
Well, we’ll see. If he is we’re in a lot of trouble.
The idea that it is a mere assumption that he wouldn't be any better than them on the terror issue is simply moronic. You have to ignore every fact on record to believe it.
I could go on but you know this already.
More whining. I'm really interested in your assessment that he's going senile. Where is your medical degree from, again? And what specific signs are you referring to?
You go on to say we shouldn't support McCain, but offer no alternative that allows us to get a conservative in office instead of him. So, unless you forgot to type the paragraph where we find a replacement nominee/party, you are basically saying "Let HillObama win and that will help the country." Presumably through the power of pocketa-pocketa-pocketa.
Did you forget the paragraph or not?
You don't know diddly about me, newbie. Stop making yourself look stupid by pretending you have telepathy. And stop deluding yourself into believing I'm dumb because I didn't know you're talking about 2012 when this is the first time you've mentioned 2012.
For someone who is thinking about 2012 and really hates the idea of a HillObama presidency, you sure do a lot of whining about the 2008 candidate. Color me suspicious.
If you vote for him in the general election, aren’t you validating his candidacy and support among conservatives?
2 months ago I would have agreed with you. The democrats have a real problem with Obama and his church attendance. One would have to be profoundly dumb to vote for someone that implies he hates your guts through the teachings of his church and pastor.
The Democrats are now playing to the extreme left and in the process losing the middle. The prolonged primary process is exposing the liberal reality to those who generally don't pay attention till September and can be swayed by a move back to center.
The right fringe and you might be lost but the gain in the middle will more than make up for the marginalized loss. in essence, you have chosen to be marginalized.
This is my unbiased view of the current reality
If I vote for him it will be to prevent Hitlery and/or Barry Hussein from being the commander and chief of our Armed Forces at time of war....and for no other reason.....
How it LOOKS is of no concern to me...
Incoming!
Well, better late than never.
McCain SUCKS.
Show some evidence that hasn’t already been refuted and I may pay attention (enough to correct you, probably).
Huckabee has never been for a nationwide smoking ban. I know what he said. You apparently do not. (Besides, cigarette smoking is hardly something to conserve as a great principle.)
Replacing the anti First Amendment tyranny of the IRS with a national sales tax, while compensating for the regressive nature of an unadjusted sales tax is something you’re up in arms about? Wow.
No, there must be more to it than that. What is at the bottom of your antipathy for Mike Huckabee?
Oh, I am SO stealing this. ;)
Feel free. :)
Using Reagan in an attempt to buttress the likes of John McCain truly is an act that truly qualifies as "SHAMEFUL".
Cut. Print. Wrap. ;)
