Iraqi Special Forces, advised by Coalition troops, take on the Madhi Army in Sadr City. This is the one of the most intense firefights ever caught on film, and it explains why al Sadr has already begged for a truce. The overweight and/or underage dopes of the Madhi Army are no match for the increasingly lethal Iraqi forces. Prime Minister Maliki has the upper hand now.
Listen for the GAU minigun ripping away at 50 rounds per second.
Hot and I’m not talking about the gun....
I am pretty sure we know exactly where al Sadr is every minute of his sorry life.
If he’s alive, it’s only because we want him alive (for now).
I believe those are Iraqi troops, not American troops.
Crap.
The message—don’t mess with America’s military, or our allies.
All I gotta say is ‘You come back to US, Marine. You get that job done and you come back to US. Kill the enemy, disarm the survivors ... that’s all you gotta remember. You come back to US, Marine.’ To Hell with the politicians. You get ‘er done and you come back to US, Marine, Grunt, SOLDIER! This nation ain’t worthy of you, but you are what makes this steaming pile of growing liberalism great beyond their freaks. You come back to US, Marine. Lead, don;t follow, and for sure don;t get outta the way of the damned liberals. Crush ‘em.
I did get a chance to see it. Obviously the Iraqis have looser ROE than we do. But WTH, the militias don’t have any.
I’m no soldier, but comparing this fighting to the invasion is telling.
Note the better armor, tactics, communications and fire concentration. Our soldiers have improved their abilities in nearly every way.
I, for one, am proud of them. Every one of them.
Very disciplined volleys, bump!
OOOps ... you are right ! Thank you for that, LH.
They are without US soldiers there? WOW!
Sorry to my pings ... I goofed, and I
still pray for protection for all our
troops and brave Iraqis.
I swear I heard the phrase from the WOT
I despise and detest THE most: allah akhbar.
Anyone else hear it?
Firing on that SF Team is a huge mistake, as I'm sure they found out.
Urban fighting has certainly improved, but I’m not aware of any significant negative marks in U.S. performance during the invasion.
They are Iraqi, and very well trained - they pulled this off themselves.
OOORAH!
Thanks for all the welcomes.
This is one of the few places where I knew people would appreciate how incredible this video is.
I’m not that worried about Maliki anymore. Most of the soldiers and vehicles in the video are Iraqi, so that means he can unleash this level of destruction on al Sadr any time he wants.
Bill Roggio told me that our special operators are pushing the Iraqi SOF really hard. It looks like it’s paying off.
God bless our troops and their brave Iraqi comrades-in-arms.
I am speechless!
God bless the US troops for all they do over there!
Many of the soldiers there are clearly American by sound and appearance, it looks like a mixed force to me, which is what the video claims as well.
Love it !...That GAU gun at 50 r/sec is equivalent to a puff the magic dragon with 3000 rounds per minute with a bullet within every square foot over the size of a football field...The GAU can probably take a small house apart in a minute or two...
Great shootin...good looking gunner too...Welcome Thomas W...Just stay behind this young lady and you’ll be fine...
Tracers, and muzzle flashes.
Got any idea why, part way through, there was a string of what I'm guessing was tracer being hosed up into the sky?
I didn't think al-Sadr had an air force.
btt
Absolutely....Kill that greasy MsF as the Brits did when they had cojones and hunted down and killed another Mahdi after Omdurman.
