Typical White Fact-Based Reasoning

Senator Barack Obama said in his memoir, The Audacity of Hope, "The arguments of liberals are more often grounded in reason and fact." Yet he also claimed that to fear a black person on the street more than a white person is a racial "stereotype", "bred" into us.

To the contrary, such a fear is actually "grounded in reason and fact." When the numbers are crunched, a black person is almost six times more likely than a white person to be a murderer.Senator Barack Obama in his Race Speech said his white grandmother "once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street". In a follow-up interview he clarified that remark by saying,

--a corollary of the statistics mentioned in this article is that the black "community" murders more of its own members every few months than were lynched in the entire period from 1865 to the present--

The arguments of liberals are more likely to be grounded on emotion, demogoguery, and partisanship. Social security is going bust—that’s a fact. But according to the libs, there is no crisis. And Cuba, Canada, and Britain have a very good health care system.

Maybe that’s why Michelle isn’t proud.

“Liberals” view every issue as if they were pre-teen girls -

“is X position on Y issue ‘nice’ or ‘mean’”.

It’s not about what is best, most just, and works.

The reason Liberals love Obama is that he is the FIRST black male they have ever run into who says he is hopeful.

And Cuba, Canada, and Britain have a very good health care system.

Dude, they BELEIVE that. Strongly. My Father-in-Law and Brother-in-Law were talking about how poorly the US rated in health care (37th or 43rd or something) and how Brits were healthier at all income groups and how high infant mortality was in the US.
When I ventured a little enlightenment (the US infant mortality is high because we try to save children that would be listed as “born dead” in other countries) they just blew it off - no such thing.

I would think blacks would fear blacks more as most black crime is perpetrated on other blacks.

When it comes to personal safety, I don't mind being thought of as a bigot/racist. If I am about to walk to my car, or anyplace else, and I see a gangsta-lookin' dude in a hoodie skulking about, I will just wait, or if I amm carruing my .38, I'll put my hand in my pocket to be ready for a fast-draw if need be.

If the dude sees me turn around and thinks "you racist mutha-f***a!" I really don't care. If he was a clean-cut, stand-up kind of guy, he should have presented himself as such. I wonder how many people becomee victims because they would rather risk robbery/rape/murder than to be thought a bigot/racist? I, for one, do not care if someone I will never see again thinks I'm a "typical white person".

Thanks ...

I realize we are in the land of perpetual campaigning, and I do tend to become disoriented at times, but the bit about "arguments of liberals are more often grounded in reason and fact" really had my head spinning.

I do not know how many times in my life I have been asked by a black person if I were a red neck, or out right called me one, just because I am white. But I guess that is not considered stereotyping huh?.

It's a little of Lies, damn lies, and statistics.

We calculate infant mortality differently in the States than in most other industrialized countries.

Secondly, those vaunted European socialized systems... people are literally dying because they don't get diagnostic or basic care for illnesses, i,e, cancer, that we take for granted at home (again, as examples, chemo and radiation therapy). Have a friend whose Italian father-in-law had to have surgery for a removal of a tumor. The hospital staff literally went home at night and locked the hospital up. It was up to the family to care for him overnight.

Very good article, but that headline is terrible. This isn’t “White” Fact Based Reasoning, it is simply Fact Based Reasoning. I have many black friends, mostly moderate or liberal, who could tell you the exact same thing.

Now Hold on...

Is it Obama’s White side raised by his White Grand Parents that is hopeful or is it his Black side raised by Jeramiah Wright that is hopeful....

Obama is the true bi-polar....

On one hand he defended Whites racist comments about whites keeping the black man down ...

and with the same logic he trounced on Janice Rogers Brown a true desendent of slaves as she tried to overcome the burdens of racist society...

So Obama is in fact the Whitey that Wright was complaining about... Obama stamping out MLK’s dream one Conservative Black Judge at a time.
