Sen. Barack Obama says that a pro-Hamas op-ed printed in his church's bulletin was "outrageously wrong."
In an issue dated July 22, 2007, in a section titled "Pastor's Page," the Trinity United Church in Chicago reprinted an article by Hamas official Moussa Abu Marzook. The article, which originally appeared as an op-ed in the Los Angeles Times, justifies the Palestinian terrorist group's denial of Israel's right to exist.
The church's pastor, Jeremiah Wright Jr., who retired this year, has stirred controversy for Obama's campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination with statements likening Israel to colonialists and blaming attacks on the United States in part on its support for Israel.
In slamming the Hamas piece, Obama noted that he strongly rejects some of his longtime pastor's views. "I have already condemned my former pastor's views on Israel in the strongest possible terms, and I certainly wasn't in church when that outrageously wrong Los Angeles Times piece was re-printed in the bulletin," Obama said in a statement e-mailed to JTA late Thursday.

Thanks.
He's just trying show Hillary that he can play the same game she does....
My thoughts exactly. I’ve known my share of preachers in my time and none have ever said things like Wright.
Also, my Church congregation is many times more diverse than that of Obama the self-styled racial unifier. Imagine that, a Typical White Guy attends a church that is more diverse than that of The Racial Healer.
In which alternative universe, Marzook?
Hamas calls on Muslims to attack U.S. targets.
Gaza shelling prompts Hamas to Call for Attacks Against U.S.
Tip of the iceberg.
One theory: Obama was a 1/2 white Ivy-leaguer without the typical American black experience - neither rural South nor inner city. He joins Jerry’s church to get street cred - punch the ticket so to speak.
You sleep with dogs you get fleas Barry. And we can’t have a POTUS with fleas can we?
Your right. Its a cult.
And you are outrageously wrong for POTUS, Osama.
“How can they even call that a church?”
—
They should be upfront and call it a Madrassa.
Or a cult.
Barry’s poll numbers show his negatives are at Hillary levels - 51 % now.
“...but somehow was never there when the bad stuff ..”
What's more, Obama's connections to the Weathermen and financial support to a professor at Columbia with ties to Islamic terrorists are just now emerging in the mainstream press.
Wright is on sabbatical and has retired.
What a lying hypocrite BHO is to do this. He has no business denouncing Hamass.
Preaching hate and telling lies from the pulpit does not make one Jesus or one of his disciples, when they are called to account.
I wonder what Obama would say if they found bodies in the church cellar? Outrageous, but understandable?
