Will Rush Limbaugh Be Indicted for Voter Fraud?

As Ohio election officials investigate illegal crossover voting in the 2008 primary, questions arise on Rush Limbaugh's role.

Limbaugh, the nation's top-rated talk radio host, was urging Republicans in Texas and Ohio to skip their party's primary on March 4 and instead cast a vote for Hillary Clinton in order to prolong the fight between her and Barack Obama.

What Limbaugh encouraged Republican voters to do in Ohio was a fifth-degree felony in that state, punishable with a $2,500 fine and six to 12 months in jail.

On Thursday, March 20, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported that the "Cuyahoga County Board of Election has launched an investigation that could lead to criminal charges against voters who maliciously switched parties for the March 4 presidential primary."

In 2008, 2.22 million Ohioans voted in the Democratic primary, compared to 1.27 million in 2000, according to unofficial results released by Brunner's office. In contrast, 1.01 million Ohioans voted in the 2008 Republican primary, compared to nearly 918,000 people in 2004.

Michael Slater of Project Vote, a nonpartisan group that designs voter registration drives for low-income people, said GOP meddling in the Ohio Democratic Primary was a clear-cut example of fraudulent voting, which is how Republicans have defined the issue in recent years, as GOP advocates have urged state legislatures and Congress to adopt anti-fraud measures such as tougher voter ID laws.

"Here we have a real instance of spurring people on to engage in illegal election activities with a real intent to affect the outcome," Slater said. "That is voter fraud. People were encouraged to break the law. They had to declare allegiance to a political party and sign a document under penalty of perjury. Intent is what matters in voter fraud."

And what’s wrong with capitalism? Are some kind of socialist?

Who said there is anything wrong with capitalism?

And who is "Are some kind of socialist"?

LOL

Even though you were immediately attacked by the mind-numbed Rushbots, many agree with you.

Obama was from the beginning damaged goods. Keeping Her Heinous in the race doesn’t guarantee anything at all other than she is somehow, in some way, on the ticket.

The Dims have finally figured out that George Bush isn't on the ballot and now they think you [Limbaugh] are. BWAHAHA!

It's so amusing!

Many people came to the decision to do this well before Rush started talking strategy. Myself for one.

“You can believe whatever you want, read all my post back to 1998 before you render your stupid opinion as to who I am, as far as I am concerned you are an foulmouthed idiot.”

Actually, I am much worse than you have described. Thank you for holding your pen and not exposing all my flaws and faults.

But stay away from those like Obama who would judge a man based upon his skin color rather than the content of his character.

He is not your friend. And he is not a friend of America.

I was lucky to catch that early, and tried to post a reply. The reply link went directly to Limbaugh’s website but it didn’t work after about 10 minutes.

Frankly, I don’t know if Obama would accept the nomination, and even if he did, I don’t know that the ticket would win. I think Obama has been critically wounded by the Jeremiah flap. And Hillary has a few ton of negatives.

McCain has high positives among moderates, independents and even centrist Democrats. The guy who is my Operations Director is the chairman of the Dem Central Commitee in my county, a radical lib, Obama supporter (hates Hillary), and even he likes McCain.

I have stated before that McCain is not even my fifth favorite choice, but he certainly is preferable to either person vying for the Dem nod.

This is where I disagree with Rush, but to say all the stuff that has been said by the Rush haters is insane...and I have a little better perspective than you...believe me.

“They had to declare allegiance to a political party and sign a document under penalty of perjury.”

Swearing an allegiance to a political party? Good God the dems take things a bit seriously don’t they? I wonder how many dems can be prosecuted for voting for McCain in the all the Republican primaries?

If voters are simply switching parties to vote in a different party’s primary, and are doing so according to the rules set up by the parties themselves, they are not breaking any laws, so he couldn’t be indicted for encouraging illegal activity.

I don't. His supporters fully accepted his speech last week. They don't know anything about his Marxism, and wouldn't care if they did.

Your "better" perspective is not going to win McCain election in the fall, if the economy will keep tanking Clinton-Obama ticket will be unbeatable.

Bush lost election to Slicky in 1992 under much more favorable circumstances for Republicans.

People who lost their jobs will not vote for McCain, people who do not like Iraq war will not vote for Mc Cain, blacks and Hispanics will not vote for McCain, if I sound pessimistic tell me who is going to vote for Mc Cain and why, bad economy, week dollar, gas prices etc. etc, you and I know a dem will not fix it, but general public will want "change".

There is also another factor nobody seems to pay attention to: Baby boomers, they are approaching retirement age, and they will be looking to Government to collect everything, social security, health care and whatever they can get, many of them fiercely Republican before will change their tune for some "earned" or "free" lunch dems always promise.

Now you tell me where am I going wrong.

His supporters didn’t leave him...where he was critically wounded is with the delusional Republicans and moderates who thought he was the Messiah, or at the very least a black man they could finally vote for.

For the first time they saw that this is not Bill Cosby.

Obama can’t win.

Operation Chaos.
Working perfectly.
I would feel badly except being fodder for Rush’s
theory apparently helps in this case. Rovian.

"your disrepect or respect is because?

FREEDOM IS NOT FREE!

People that we love pay for that freedom with their LIVES.

What is So Awful about your life that
you don’t seem to get that?

Know a Soldier?
Love a Soldier?
Ever sent a package to a Soldier?

These are the folks that keep us free.
I have tremendous respect for them.
"

Of course not. See my tagline. I was only a "weekend warrior," like most of the rest of my kind--one of those "male" specialties that's off limits to the kind of amazonian "heroes" seen in the news.

I disrespect our feminized leadership for favoring military personnel from communist countries--for example, a PLA (Chinese) Captain instructor in a US University--over men like me. You disrespect men like me.

Men won't fight under Hillary. You can force them in through a draft, and they still won't fight with her as a dominatrix-in-chief.

I can’t believe that a requirement to take a loyalty oath to a political party would hold up in court.
