You mention Real Estate Deals and I know some of the ones you mean, outside the USA, BUT you might also like to know that Islamic Iran, which used to pay bribes/rewards in Persian carpets now has switched to also paying for expensive real estate inside the USA for the people they want to bribe or reward. Carpet values are proving insufficient for the much higher amounts they need to pay.
