Just got a call from Kristinn on-scene.
This is the SECOND round of attacks that the station and Freepers have withstood today.
Cops are clearing the street of cars so the violent radicals can march down the street to the recruiting center unencumbered.
Crowds have been throwing rocks, paint bombs in GLASS bottles, water bottles, and anything esle they can throw.
MPDC Chief Cathy Lanier was there before the attacks, ORDERING HER OFFICERS to DO NOTHING if the station was attacked.
No arrests are being made.
More info as I get it.
Kristinn is asking any Freepers and Friends in the area to come down and stand with the Freepers there now.
Be aware that this is not a place for children.
OH come now, this was ALREADY DONE at Ruby Ridge and WACO. They will do it with out any help, with help, any way they can.
The only people that follow the laws are the healthy, righteous, right. Dems motto.. “the ends justify the means”
Don’t try to lay this cra.... errr stuff on President Bush.
We need to check into this, because the media is reporting that there were about 80 arrests.
Out here in Studio City, CA (Los Angeles) the police was nowhere to be seen. And the only tv media that came out was a Spanish channel, Telemundo, that sent a reporter for Noticias. They were very fair, it seemed, in that they reported that the Lefties were nasty to us. I didn’t see the final.
My use of the words "We Win, They Lose", were not meant as an assessment of what took place yesterday. They were just a part of words of encouragement to my friend Just A Nobody.
The guy I talked to with the DC Metro police said they made one arrest yesterday but wouldn’t specify if it was in front of the military recruiting center or elsewhere.
Definitely not an affirmative action appointment. No way. Probably the best man for the job. oops.
“For every one of you who are able to be at events, there are many of us wishing we could do something to help the FReepers on the frontlines.”
A Hearty AMEN!
A west coast person here.
Most of the arrests occurred in front of the IRS building I think. One of the folks who was at the center should be able to answer that one.
Well, LEO’s were hit with paint outside the Recruiting Office on L St NW; no arrests. Civilians were hit with paint outside Bechtel Offices on 14th St; no arrests. Arrests were made out side the White House US Park Police jurisdiction not MPD. Some folks arrested for interfering with traffic in the AM.
Makes a person go Hmmmn
How about slinhshots? They illegal too? If not, I imagine they could hurl a paintball pretty well. :))
that should have read: slingshots.
I don't think catapults are covered however. Which lends itself to some interesting scenarios.
So in other words; we need to draft some MLB pitchers. A baseball sized paintball traveling at 100+ MPH ought to do the trick.
I’m culling links, and writing up a little summary for my blog, and am including this particular incident...
I Don’t know exactly when it’ll be finished though. Probably later tonight. I’ll post here when it is though.
I agree it’s important to keep tabs on what is going on — especially as in the case of this action where it got violent and the police were prevented from even arresting those who were the perpetrators of the assaults! *Still shaking my head over this...*
Well, when I left my message yesterday, her voice mail message said that they would get back to me within 24 hours.
That was 25 hours ago.
She returns her phone calls almost as well as she enforces DC's laws.
BTW: I saw on another thread a link to an ABC story that showed people getting arrested, but that may have been from the protest in New York. I think they were implying that it was 80 arrests across the country, but that’s one of the things I’ll be checking on — I’m sure Kristinn and everyone else who was in DC though would be reliable as source info.
You are going to have to trust us on this. The source is rock-solid.
I don't disagree, but what else in 1957 is anything like this, other than the efforts of other and some of the same moonbats in 1968? Of course I remember events of '68 a whole lot better than those of '57, being 18-19 rather than 7.
Fox reported this morning that about 80 were arrested.
I’m shaking my head with ya. Been doing this for five years now, and they are nasty every year.
thanks for keeping us up to date
