I just read Obama's speech and have tears running down my face ...
Posted on 03/18/2008 10:53:47 AM PDT by HD1200
I have seen a like intro referencing crying at several left wing message boards a dozen times already.
OK, this is what we are up against people. Crybabies that start crying over political speeches! Unbeleivable! Just who ARE these people that would cry over a political speech given solely because the guy was backed into a corner over an issue? To CRY over it?

Rush said this was a big trap set by Clinton Inc. and, well, Barry stepped in it.

People have been calling to give a speech on this issue.......well they always say....be careful what you wish for.
The only good thing is that he delivered it at the time when most people are at work.
The man can deliver speeches like Fedex can deliever packages!

I’m no ditto-head, but I agree with Rush on this.
I give Hillary all the credit for having the MSM (started with ABC) push this Obama pastor disaster story to headline prominence.
If anyone thinks the press will now give Obama a pass on this based on this lame-ass speech, then they are woefully ignorant of the Clinton dirty politics machine.
Folks, Hillary is just getting warmed up. She will own Barack before June.

I was at my physical therapy appointment when this garbage came on. Damned near everyone in there started shouting to shut the loud mouth racist off. Two black people kept quiet. But, everyone else was really POed that he was on the TV, spouting his crap. This is a BLACK against whites by good ole Wright. Not the WHITE beating down blacks that he is trying to make it out to be. This puke brings up the 1950s and 1960s and BLAMES whites for black on black crime, and wants them to get together to attack we whites. Same old excuse, we fail because of whitey.

Obama is a front pure and simple. He is nothing more. He has done nothing; has had no accomplishments and just as his backers has more than a passing hated of America and it’s people and I mean all of it’s people.
This is a good thing. Through his lies we can see the truth. A man who offers nothing but hatred for his fellow Americans. A man that would turn his back on who he really is and that is a half/black half white Muslim. He is not a man who is a free individual. He has already sold his soul for a prize they have convinced him(maybe he has convinced himself too)that he so richly deserves. Of course, the opposite is true.
America does not need these types. We are a generous country of people founded on freedom and we aim to keep it that way.

As long as you don't try to attach serious meaning to it, it is in fact a very good speech: inspiring,
seems to address the issue, and so on.
I didn't hear it, but I have no doubt that Obama delivered it extremely well, too.
Most folks won't try to extract real meaning from it -- Obama wins this round, perhaps resoundingly.

I feel like I should sell liberals a bridge or something. How wrong would it be to make $$ off the mental illness called liberalism? Very wrong, because liberals will use our money to buy the bridge.
To: Red Badger
His speech was empty and devoid of any actual content other than platitudinous esoteric feel-good-isms....... Which is, politically speaking, very much beside the point. He seems to have addressed the issue, and since a lot of folks are pre-disposed to be sympathetic toward him, that will be enough.
This speech helped Obama a great deal.
