Barack Obama is preparing to deliver a major address Tuesday on race, politics and unifying the country after being hounded by questions about his relationship to a pastor whose sermons have been laced with anti-American invective.
In a speech whose religious significance could compare to one given in December by former GOP presidential hopeful and Mormon Mitt Romney, Obama may be forced to explain the philosophy of the 8,000-strong Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, where the Democratic presidential candidate has been a congregant for 20 years.
In announcing the morning address, to be delivered in Philadelphia, Obama would not say specifically what he will discuss, but suggested he wants to cool down the atmosphere after incendiary remarks by his pastor, retired Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., blanketed the airwaves over the past week.

It’s just a speech. He is good at that. But the facts in it will be picked apart in the coming days. In the speech he flipflops and admits hearing some of Wright’s statements, thereby outing himself as a blatant liar.

All he does in this pious speech is say: "You whites (and Jews) need to understand where blacks are coming from, you need to accept your guilt. That is why Wright is the way he is... get over it".
One more thing... no "God bless Amercia" at the end of the speech. How can he ask God to bless a country he does not want blessed?

This goes back to yesterday, and yes, that’s precisely the case he’s been making. Anyone attacking Obama over this is paving the way for Hillary. That’s his position and he’s been very clear about it.
Who cares about this guy and his working with the Kennedy’s back in the day. We need to move forward, dammit!

My friends just got custody of their niece who grew up in a mostly black community (my friends and the niece are white). The racial hatred that came out of her mouth regarding whites and what she’s told us that the attitude about whites are in her former community, I think they would all be very comfortable in Wright’s church.
Heck, just see the race card the Mayor of Detroit is playing on a constant basis and this is far from the “extreme” in the black community.

Really? Perhaps you should mosey over to Drudge to read a real shocker from CNN polls clearly showing Obama as the dems choice. This coming DURING the Wright controversy.
They certainly are doing that on CNN. Obama is carrying such a burden to bring the two groups together.
Now onto discussion of Obama's being the legitimate Democratic party, who will have to deal with Republican attacks.
