How much trouble is Barack Obama in over the extremism of Jeremiah Wright? Enough that Dem strategist Donna Brazile has been reduced to arguing that as black preachers go, Wright is relatively moderate. Enough that the normally affable Brazile got a bit short with Time editor Mark Halperin, he of the infamous memo to his subordinates during the 2004 presidential campaign while serving as ABC News political director.
The comments came during the panel discussion on today's This Week with George Stephanopoulos on ABC.

Yes, and that cancer will continue to fester and grow because we can't discuss the problem without being labeled racists and bigots. A malignancy that can't be addressed directly can't be destroyed.
I'm afraid she may actually be telling the truth. I stumbled into an all black Methodist church last year, while I was out of town on business.... in Augusta, Ga. The sermon I heard was much like this... much of it was a justification for reparations to make up for all the evil "White America" has done to the poor black man..
It was sickening.....
Sorry...what is ELCA?
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, probably one the largest U.S. Protestant demoninations, if not the largest.
Well now. That certainly puts me at ease. No problems then. =8^O
I have heard from Democrat friends that they won’t vote for Obama because he is “Muslim” so they think... and so he may attend a mosque which preaches hatred of America. Turns out he goes to a Christian church that does that. Either way, hate is hate. And mentioning politics in a sermon should make you lose your IRS exemption.
I always thought the Old Testament was full of the Laws and violence and punishment... and then Christ came to earth... and He taught us love, acceptance, forgiveness. His sermons were of LOVE and NOT HATE.
Hmmmm....we go to a Presbyterian (PCA) Church.....very conservative....and I have NEVER heard anything like this, ever! This seems more like apostasy. Any church that preaches politics should lose it’s tax status....even an ELCA, if that’s what’s going on.
