How much trouble is Barack Obama in over the extremism of Jeremiah Wright? Enough that Dem strategist Donna Brazile has been reduced to arguing that as black preachers go, Wright is relatively moderate. Enough that the normally affable Brazile got a bit short with Time editor Mark Halperin, he of the infamous memo to his subordinates during the 2004 presidential campaign while serving as ABC News political director.
The comments came during the panel discussion on today's This Week with George Stephanopoulos on ABC.

Is what Brazile says true? I know it wasn’t always so, living as I did for a time near a black church. We heard the sermon all over the neighborhood, it was quite loud, and I never heard anything approaching what Wright preached on those videos.
Good point and it sort of confirms for me why I no longer attend church of any kind.
I have been able to find peace with Our Lord on my own terms and feel that all the superficial accoutrements and political mishmash only gets in the way of finding God’s Grace.
It's a tragedy, and it's the Left's fault. The "social justice" crowd has been whispering its paranoid, divisive, anti-American BS in black America's ear for decades, and this is the result.

Isn’t it amazing?? The white man has been blamed for the ongoing racial tensions since the civil rights movement, and while I do not deny that there are and have been many a white racist, in this day and age I see the divisions are mainly in place because of what black leadership keeps trying to foment with their rhetoric. Blacks want to carry their anger over the past with them into the future and their leaders make sure that they do.
The most incredible (and sad) thing is that many left-wing Dems are mystified by the uproar. Reverend Wright was simply saying what every intelligent person knows is true they are saying to themselves and the people in their bubbles I mean circles. In short the people, leftists, who now run the Dem party are utterly clueless about the patriotism of most Americans.

Agreed. One of the worst things you can do to a child is to teach him that things are hopeless. Telling a kid that it’s “a white man’s world” and that he will never succeed because he is black is criminal.
How can a child ever learn to accept personal responsibility if he can always blame it on “whitey”?
I believe this, rather than racism, is one of the biggest reasons for the failure of the black culture to advance in this country.
Exactly....I couldn’t agree with you more, I too, after years of trying to find a church home...found it for myself, at my own home, along with a great deal of peace. I do attend Bible studies at friends homes..all others have their churches they attend, but I’m fine with my relationship with Our Father..

Well worth listening to the whole segment- George Will really nailed Obama.
Interestingly, with the exception of Donna Brazille- the whole panel sees this as a big problem for his campaign..
Obamalama is a FRAUD, who's actions speak louder than his pious platitudes. If he was really concerned about forces of division he would have forsaken Wright and his so called "church".

I've yet to hear a panel on any of the talk shows not believe this may be fatal. The fact that the Clinton camp in mum is proof enough that the MSM is doing an effective job in making sure all voters are aware. I only wish this came out AFTER he won the nomination.
Frankly I question why Steppie (who I was shocked to learn is part of the Clinton camp) continues to host this show.
BTW George Will really cleaned their clock when describing what aN America would look like if liberals had their way in running the country -- citing how they've run their nominating process. Can't get a majority because of their ridiculous rules in how to achieve fairness; worked for 20 to 30 years to make us all sensitive to slights real or imagined so that running a 3 a.m. ad offends some who call it racists, some who feel it's fear mongering, etc. in short their reaping what they've sown. BINGO.
