Her Mama Must Be Proud
Outside The Wire ^ | Bob Parks

Posted on 03/13/2008 7:24:00 AM PDT by bocopar

That’s the way Ashley Alexandra “Kristen” Dupré will be remembered. Not as a young woman with potential, as are all of our young women. No, she’s now known as the $4,300-an-hour ho who brought down the Governor of New York.

Many in our entertainment intelligentsia consider prostitution a victimless crime, thus Ashley Alexandra “Kristen” Dupré’s activities are going to be her ticket to fame and fortune. She’s probably already received many offers from agents who know they can sell her name, face, “voice” and body. They know there will be interested parties waiting to exploit her newfound fame, or infamy depending how you look at it.

As usual with this generation, it’s all about her. On her MySpace page she wrote,

I am all about my music, and my music is all about me…. It flows from what I’ve been through, what I’ve seen and how I feel. I live in New York and am on top of the world.

Well, if she could make it there, she can make it anywhere.

Ashley Alexandra “Kristen” Dupré alludes to a broken home and abuse. If true, that is tragic. However, there are many other people who have survived broken homes and not turned to breaking the law. Prostitution IS against the law.

Granted, unlike Eliot Spitzer who gleefully put people in jail as New York’s attorney general and has no sympathy coming his way from the public, Ashley Alexandra “Kristen” Dupré may give community service a new name and will come out of this a rich woman. She may get a book deal, recording contract, or a modeling gig. She probably won’t be earning $4,300-an-hour, but she will be able to work, for the most part, standing up.

Personally, I’m hoping her name becomes a noun.

Other than the tint of his complexion, Spitzer is a dead ringer for the Green Goblin!

“Good grief. She’s a “smokin hot” as any healty twenty-somthing American girl who hasn’t pigged out on Taco Bell Big Burritos and Big Gulp sodas. Give me a break.”

The 2 college girls murdered last week were prettier and obviously more deserving of the terms “classy, educated, and sophisticated” than the whores advertised with the Emperor’s Club.

That men would actually believe the hype on these websites is pathetic.

I keep hearing this over and over. She didn't bring down anyone, he self destructed. Sheer stupidity.

"I’m talking books, movie rights, calendars , etc."

Heh-heh.

A perfume, her own fashion line, the talk show circuit, hawking autographed pictures on the shopping chanel, car commericals, etc. etc.

Link on her website leads to a site where you can download a song of hers for 85 cents. Until yesterday, she wasn’t even making lunch money from that. Now? I’m thinking it’s gotten pretty profitable.

Either of us may be right about her.

One of the most fascinating (and scariest) people I ever got to know was a 21 year old Arab Israeli whore who had been abused by the men in her family for years. She lived in a moral reality that was shocking in its candid use of sex and blackmail as survival tools.

She’s actually likely to do a lot better than most. Unlike virtually every other paid or volunteer floozie who’s brought down a big name man, Ashley didn’t squeal. It was the feds and the co-floozie who agreed to cooperate with the feds, who brought down Spitzer. Ashley remained perfectly discreet, as she had implicitly promised to be. In that sense, she has retained her “honor”, and I seriously think that will make a big difference in what sort of opportunities open up for her.

That’s where my mindset was.....I’ve known and still know many (mostly females) who were abused from as young as infancy. They’re forever destroyed and yes, they have no moral compass.

The main reason the Profumo affair was a political scandal, was because Profumo was the War Secretary — and the call girl in question was the mistress of a Russian spy. (British politican and illicit sex -- the tabloids were already saturated with that type of story.) This was at the height of the cold war, and there were very serious security concerns.

If this story is properly investigated — we might see a web of connections come into focus. There are 50 prostitutes working for the “club”, and likely hundreds of clients — that means zillions of possible connections.

Well, maybe she can make a new life for herself. I hope she remembers that G-d loves her and she should love herself enough to allow herself to be used that way. She can start over if she wants to. America has a short memory and we will all be on to the NEW scandal or news item and forget all about her. Unfortunately for Spitzer, his wife won’t forget.

“Even working at McDonalds allows a person to have more dignity and self respect.”

? What the hell is wrong with working at MCDonalds? Are you saying you look down your nose at people who work at McDonalds?

Context please!

Even working at McDonalds allows a person dignity and self respect - prostitution does NOT.

Translation - I’d rather work at McDonalds than be a high priced prostitute.

No, she’s now known as the $4,300-an-hour ho who brought down the Governor of New York.

I've seen this deceptive statement a number of times. She didn't bring down the Governor of New York, he brought himself down. In fact the trail led from him to her, so he actually ended her "career".

Of course, she's unlikely to be charged, if she cooperates with prosecutors, but she's still going to have a problem with the IRS, unless she's been paying taxes on her illegal income.

Obviously, this young woman will have compensations, since tabloids and skin mags will want to pay her a lot of money for her story and pictures.

The thing that the MSM wants us to forget is that this isn't about sex, it's about illegal money transfers and related crimes. In fact, it's the illegal money transfers that brought it all to light.

“My opinion is that she may of looked down at those working at McDonalds and most other jobs as stupid fools who don’t live the lifestyle she does.

I don’t feel sorry for her because she wouldn’t feel sorry for us.”

She's another screwed up little girl that didn't have proper guidance. I do feel sorry for her. I don't know if she will recover. She will probably spiral downward. Money won't make her happy. She paid a HIGH PRICE for the money she received. It isn't worth it - I don't know if she has figured that out yet. It matters not if she feels sorry for you or me. I still feel sorry for her.

That means there is something missing in them, that they could treat themselves so badly

I agree. It's unfortunate that human beings tend to choose things to help them deal with past pain that only increase their level of pain (i.e. sexual promiscuity/perversion, drugs, alcohol. . .)

Spitzmas was paying for more than one hour, including some prepayment for time in the future.

Is he gonna get a refund now? When you're jobless, every penny counts!

It’s idiotic to dump on the girl. No one gets bent out of shape about party girls.

Frankly, we should just be thankful that there was *something* out there that was able to bring down Spitzer...a maniac who was doing real damage to real people, to real companies, and to our economy.

Spitzer’s bill this month was going to strip the medical certifications of Catholic doctors who refused to perform abortions!

Talk about government extortion. Talk about religious persecution...yet we didn’t have the power to bring him down or stop him.

That little party girl did, though. That, and a banker who followed the Patriot Act’s financial transfer reporting rule.
