NEW YORK (CBS) ¯ Gov. Eliot Spitzer was not expected to continue as governor and may resign by Monday evening, sources told CBS 2, after it was reported that he was linked to a prostitution ring.
Reliable sources told CBS 2 Political Reporter Marcia Kramer that Lt. Gov. David Paterson could be sworn in as governor as early as 7 p.m. Monday.
But notice that a lot of these articles about Spitzer don’t mention the fact that he’s a Democrat even though the media delights in noting party affiliation when Republicans are involved. Apparently, they think it only happens to the GOP.

Judge Sol Wachtler, the former Chief Judge of New York State, was quoted as saying that a prosecutor could persuade a grand jury to “indict a ham sandwich.”

A question for anyone:
Is a governor who takes part in a prostitution ring more or less of a criminal than a politician who:
1. perpetuates the abortion holocaust
2. votes against a bill ending partial birth abortion
3. kills a bill to protect born-alive infants
4. has one regret, that he did not kill Congress’ effort to save the life of severely disabled woman who is being dehydrated to death

But he didn’t say it was easy to get a RAT-infested grand jury to indict a RAT governor.
OTOH, who knows, maybe the grand jury didn’t like him because of the illegal drivers license thing.
