Recall how the public reacted to Klinton’s peckerdillos? The FBI was derelict when it came to klink.

Very good.

I understand Bill Clinton has called Silda because he “feels her pain” and would like her to feel his.

“Somewhere Mario Cuomo is smiling..he is no longer the worst Gov of NYS...”

I thought the worst governor was Lord Cornbury, the colonial-era transvestite who spent public funds on womens’ clothing—for himself.

[[The MSM has stopped talking about McCain’s lobbyist girlfriend. I find that more dangerous to my interests than Spitzer’s one night stand on Valentine’s Day.]]

[You should pray that you are never held to the standard you’ve promoted here, where people get to consider you a cheating, corrupt scumbag because you had a few work-related run-ins with some dingbat bimbo, but the guy up the street with a regular hooker habit is just having fun.]

I am not sure what you are saying here, but you would have missed the main point I was making that the Men’s Rights Movement is overjoyed at this hypocrite getting caught doing this after he tried to ruin a lot of men’s lives for doing something that only God (and their wives) should punish.

Libertarian Republicanism (concern for individual freedom and less government intrusion in one’s private life) is on the rise, whether it will take a complete route of the current party members or not is up to the current party members. But it needs to be clearly understood that the contempt for Spitzer on the right is largely coming from people who despise his hypocrisy not what he did with his private life on Valentine’s Day.

About McCain’s lobbyist girlfriend: It is a MILLION times more dangerous to the interests of the nation’s citizens for a politician to have sex with a lobbyist in exchange for possible legislative favors, than to pay some college coed cold hard cash.

The issue here is peddling of influence. I said above that I am furious at the price Spitzer paid ($4300) because it means that other politicians are either paying this price or deciding to sell out our interests to women (or gay men) who have other interests.

What ever happened to Fiddle and Faddle who never asked JFK to do any legislation in return for their “admiration”?

The movie “The American President” comes to mind. That President, in the end, sold America down the drain so his girlfriend would not get fired from her lobbying agency.

I want to see Spitzer, as a hypocrite, jailed until whatever law Spitzer violated gets overturned. Tons of men pay women to vacation with them in other cities or countries. That he also paid directly for sex sounds unhygienic and socially unacceptable, but he and men everywhere should now be learning the lesson that you don’t try to win the feminist vote by persecuting other men for something you might do yourself.

Conservative women who are against prostitution (and think that clients should be punished more than prostitutes) were NOT in Spitzer’s constituency.

Spitzer, as he persecuted men, was ONLY dancing to the demands of the anti-male feminist left...womyn like Hillary Clinton who are still furious that Bill got some on the side.

Conservative women who are furious with Bill for getting some on the side...were NOT in Spitzer’s consituency either.

I agree with Miss Marple’s comments in 333 as well, that he had no business using his wife as a human shield yesterday and putting his kids in the room as well. But that was a social decorum comment.

She said nothing in 333 about the aspect of keeping this behavior a federal crime if the Mann Act really does say something about transporting willing adults across state lines.

The Republican Party is on its way out the door if anyone believes in hiring conservative women as judges who would uphold laws that regulate a man’s private life, thus forcing them by government mandate to be faithful to their wives instead of relying on love handling that issue.

Miss Marple made excellent points, none of which threatened any male’s civil right to have the government stay out of his private life. She pointed out that Spitzer was the nation’s leading advocate of MESSING WITH other men’s private lives.

In any event, this incident should finally get the government to define “sex trafficking” as the *unwilling* movement of adults or the movement of minors across boundaries.

The Finnish parliament just made this distinction after the Swedish feminists turned Stockholm into a place where gorgeous young police officers try to lure men into committing a federal crime in sting operations. Finnish men apparently have more backbone than Swedish men.

In the US, so far, with the help of both the radical feminist left and some “conservative” women’s groups closely affiliated with the feminist left, “sex trafficking” has been defined as all prostitution no matter what.

Defining things this way hurts the real victims of involuntary movement across boundaries or any slavery at all.

[In your world, apparently conservatism is now an ideology where you consider a guy to be guilty with no evidence at all, just because it would be convenient to your dislike of him.]

I am on your side there.

Spitzer is only guilty of joining the anti-male feminist left and pandering to the women’s vote in New York by screwing over other men.

His replacements had better switch their focus or someone is going to set them up for a similar fall.

You will notice that most of the male politicians who come out as “holier than other men” get caught in hypocrisy

That is no accident. Other men are setting these guys up.

Sooner or later, there will be a Supreme Court that says enough is enough with government interference in private lives.

If women could not vote, men themselves would not have voted to make men guilty of any crime for being clients of prostitutes. Heck, any woman who dates or marries a man for his money (and plans to clean up in a divorce) is a prostitute. That would mean lots of American men are living with prostitutes.

Male politicians are not courting the male vote when they support laws like this. Giuliani dropped in the polls when he came out against sex trafficking last summer. He made it clear he was going after the womens vote and men picked up on this.

Except for misguided chivalrists, men don’t buy the ideology that prostitutes are victims.

Men have political radar. They know when the focus is being taken entirely off them by pandering politicians.

Now regarding McCain: He thinks he can tie up the male vote with his foreign policy ideas, while securing the women’s vote by supporting laws like VAWA that have already been overturned by the 5 conservative Supreme Court members. VAWA says that violence against women is now a federal crime while violence against men remains a state issue.

McCain, Brownback, etc, completely ignore the 5 conservative members of the Rehnquist Supreme Court and they have all been instrumental in putting Roberts and Alito in since then...which concerns me greatly.

Does McCain know something I don’t know about the attitude of Alito and Roberts about men’s private lives?

Did Bush make sure that Roberts and Alito would uphold feminist laws like VAWA? Did Bush place a priority on women getting special federal treatment...based on some misguided sense of chivarly?

Would Roberts and Alito uphold a conviction of Spitzer for having committed some sort of federal crime by paying for a woman’s train ticket? Will they seriously call that sex trafficking or will everyone realize that Spitzer’s affair makes a mockery of the sex trafficking charade where NGOS get millions in federal funding by making up statistics that are mostly 1000 times higher than the actual statistics for involuntary movement of women and girls across boundaries...and the involuntary slave trade gets ignored while a few high profile voluntary businesses get harrassed.

A ton of men are happy that Spitzer is going through this, not because they feel he committed a federal crime, but rather because Spitzer was the biggest prosecutor of such activity while pandering to the radical feminist left.

Again: Spitzer was not pandering to the religious right or “social conservatives” when he went after men so viciously for being clients of prostitutes.

Male politicians on both sides of the aisle compete with each other to see who can catch the most men for doing this.

And the rest of us men are going to catch all of these hypocrites, whether they like women or boys.

And you would have missed my point, which was that there is NO EVIDENCE AT ALL that John McCain had an inappropriate relatonship with the woman, and there is NO EVIDENCE AT ALL that he did her any special favors. Is it "libertarian republicanism" to parrot false accusations by the New York Times?

[Is it “libertarian republicanism” to parrot false accusations by the New York Times?]

Good point. I would like to see their publisher imprisoned.

But, if McCain was not your first choice, you can still negotiate with McCain before telling him he has your vote so soon.

And McCain is not going to win in November without the support of former Ron Paul supporters.

Ron Paul got 24% in Montana, 17% in Minnesota and 21% in South Dakota. Those are margins that can lose McCain a red state if he doesn’t start pandering to small l libertarians on things like men’s individual rights.

At the very least, please write to McCain on why he is not condemning the new VAWA that says that women are more important than men. A google search on VAWA and feminism is all you need to know that it should be an issue McCain is fighting instead of supporting. The Supreme Court in US vs Morrison supposedly already struck down VAWA but McCain and Congress decided, for political purposes, to pretend that that 2000 decision was only to be taken in its narrow sense (the court declared that a woman could not complain about being raped by a football player in college in federal court because that was a states rights issue).

Please also check out the thread on how McCain supports background checks on anyone who posts a comment on any blog or forum. Search Google for the Save Our Children from Online Exploitation Act and note how he specializes in supporting laws that seem 95% OK but have a dangerous twist to them (such as liability for webmasters if they let anyone with one of 300,000 email addresses post a comment somewhere).

Conservative politicians are supposed to BLOCK new legislation. The world has done fine for 6000 years. There is no hurry to always make new laws.

The growing trend (that the MSM is trying to ignore) is that voters want to see old legislation taken apart, dismantled. They want to see things like the Department of Education dismantled, etc.

If it's a good point and you believe the publisher of the Times deserves prison, why were you echoing their accusation?

But, if McCain was not your first choice, you can still negotiate with McCain before telling him he has your vote so soon.

This fall we will have a choice (at worst) between an FDR figure and a Jimmy Carter figure. Only children are going to pretend that they aren't sure which way to go in that situation.
