Would it be 'neat' to find Noah's ark, the ark of the covenant, a splinter from Jesus' cross, etc - I suppose. Many let these things become distractions from our relationship with the one we worship.

I may have a pocket knife from my grandfather, but it is no more than a reminder of the relationship that I had with him, and it doesn't replace him. If it were gone, I would still remember him...Since my God is alive again and with me constantly, having a 'relic' to remember Him by almost seems silly...

The same goes for Che Guevara. He and Marley have their own posthumus iconographies. They’re perceived as being as good as martyred. Probably Arafat too...Martyrdom...it’s just a special way of comprehending a meaningful death. Not that any life or death is ever meaningless.

The difference is that this particular amalgamation of beliefs (Islam) is particularly virulent, not passive like Christianity or Buddhism. You can imagine a world of Buddhists, Christians, Jews etc. who would just about get along (maybe not very well, but...), however, wherever Islam goes, it obliterates other religions, civilisation and progress: e.g. Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, North Africa were all Christian before Islam, Iran was Zoroastrian, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia were Hindu, Afghanistan was Buddhist. And these were amongst the most progressive of civilisations. Yes, the progress continued for a few centuries after the conquest of Islam when there were still large %s of non-Muslims, but as the number of Muslims % increased, the degression, or reversion to the 7th century increased.

I’d consider things more on a theological term —> read the Koran, it contradicts itself continuously in actions to follow: once it says Jews and Christians are people of the book and should be respected, then it says: don’t take them as friends, then: persecute them. It also says: respect Allat, uzzat and al — the daughters of allah, but then the next lines say these were “satanic verses” put in Mo’s ear by Satan.
