You might consider a distance learning academy if you do move. It’s considered a private school, but you teach at home,and design your own curriculum. It’s legally accredited in all 50 states, and my kids have attended it for the last 8 years. It’s called: west river academy, based in San Jaun Capistrano. Since it’s an accredited private school, you cut out all the state stuff. I know they have a website, I think it’s :www.WestRiverAcademy.com. If you signed up before you moved, you’d never have to register with the state or anything.

I was born in Maryland. Does that help? Well, I did live in Stamford, Ct. from age 4 to 11. I liked it. There was a lot of snow, we could ride sleds right down our street.

Any person or entity has the right to file a private school affidavit or statement in lieu. If you do not wish to file your own private school affidavit, you can enroll under someone else's, called an umbrella. There was absolutely no reason for these people to have gone through this unless they wanted to to make a point. All they did was make things worse for those of us who have actually read the code. Know the code. Follow the code. Stay out of trouble.
I predict a spike in U-Haul rentals in the near future. The teacher's unions have crafted the laws to ensure they don't have to compete with home schools. It's a job security effort. Time for dedicated home school families to move to a home school friendly state.

I was born and lived right next to Valley Forge Pa, and every kid had a sled.

You can’t FORCE people to be wards of the state.
I just relocated my son from San Diego to Pocatello. He was a broker for a 60 person real estate firm in San Diego. My son just called me from the test office where he has just passed his Idaho real estate broker's license exam. We're headed out to celebrate. I hope your house is in a location that isn't getting hit too hard by falling prices. My son went from $8,000 per month (on just $500 fix fee per closing) to having trouble making enough to eat. Lots of work and nothing was closing.
The sweeping February 29th ruling says that California law requires "persons between the ages of six and eighteen" to be in "public full-time day school," or a "private full-time day school" or "instructed by a tutor who holds a valid state teaching credential for the grade being taught".
Why do you suppose that the had to use four sets of quotes? Could it be because they are not accurately quoting the opinion?

Wake up. The Boomers ARE conservatives. - Mostly.
The vast majority of the younger voters along with the vast majority of the blacks, and some older liberal trash left in the NE and Kalifornia make up the bulk of the liberal sector.
Toss in several million or so recent immigrants who have no desire to be part of America or Western Values and you complete the picture.
Of course, nothing is bounded by absolutes, and there are some conservative immigrants as well, but its pretty accurate.
I’m a boomer myself, and I have watched the changing demographics and voting patterns with dismay.
Most of Hillary’s support is coming from older Baby Boomers—mostly radical libertines. I’m one of the ashamed younger Baby Boomers (of which group most are also libertine father-haters). Our Generation is spoiled rotten—far more so than the generations following it.
