An open letter to Jim Robinson: Consider a general amnesty for all the banned Rudy supporters....
o

Posted on 03/05/2008 1:11:46 PM PST by ken5050

Dear Jim..OK, the GOP now has its candidate. McCain isn't the first choice of the majority of us on FR, and even now, there are spirited, yet for the most part, civil exchanges on the threads as to whether or not some will support the GOP nominee. One of the more unfortunate, and unpleasant events on FR was the mass banishment and/or leaving of a great many Freepers who were supporters of Rudy Guliani for the nomination. I'm posting this to see if you'd be open to the idea of inviting them to return, and see how others might feel about this.

But if the anti-Rudy Jihadists and the anti-Mormon Huckabee fans had been suspended, none of the nastiness would have occurred.

If the banned posters complained to the moderators, it doesn’t look as though they got any satisfaction because most of the nasty, one issue voters are still around.

Was Mad Ivan really banned from his own site?

He did indeed.

LOL What did he get banned for?

As I recall his mods mounted a coup, and accused him of accessing posters' personal information and conspiring with some other mods.

You can repeat the phrase "anti-Rudy Jihadists" as often as you like, but it isn't going to change the fact that these folks were merely conservatives speaking out against a liberal. The nastiness occurred because a liberal cabal assumed they could turn a conservative forum into their own progressive playground.

Turns out the were wrong.

No, they weren’t just conservatives speaking out against a liberal. They were making petty personal attacks against a Republican candidate, who may have lived his personal life in a more liberal fashion than you would like, but really had a better conservative positions on issues than most of the so called conservative candidates, like Huckabee.

The anti-Rudy Jihadists just were to closed minded to even listen to facts. Then, when they sensed victory over Rudy, they turned their politics of personal destruction on Romney and his religion as if being a Mormon was worse than being an apostate Muslim.

I thought that this site was about discussion of issues, not just cheer leading or booing, but that’s about all the single issue voters are interested in doing.

And, now we are left with McCain, who is no more conservative than Rudy. McCain has stated that he will not do anything to over turn Roe vs. Wade. McCain has voted against defense of marriage, but now he says he will defend it. McCain wants amnesty, McCain want carbon credit schemes. McCain is ten times worse than Rudy.

anti-Rudy Jihadists!

anti-Rudy Jihadists!

anti-Rudy Jihadists!

anti-Rudy Jihadists!

anti-Rudy Jihadists!

anti-Rudy Jihadists!

anti-Rudy Jihadists!

Sorry, doesn't do anything for me. I don't feel any more superior. :)

Good grief. Mad Ivan was banned? From his own site too? What is his website?

I just found out today that Freeper from New Jersey was banned too. She had a lot of good information about security in NYC where she commuted every day. Big loss.
