Mondays NBC psychic crime drama "Medium" featured a plot line in which an Arizona senator and former POW is discovered to be a two-time murderer and a cannibal. While it is safe to assume that the story was written before the Hollywood writers strike, and before the rise of John McCain to front-runner status for the GOP presidential nomination, the blatant use of McCains personal history, as a politician and Vietnam POW, as grist to feed the murderous plot is obvious.

Law and Order did do a show where they arrested a toe tapping Senator in a men’s room. They basically reenacted the whole Craig episode.

I reckon they are seeking tolerance of all manner of sin.I reckon, rather, that they are attempting to plant a seed in peoples minds that maybe this happened...total scum.
There would be hell to pay had the subject of the plot been a black senator from Illinois...

Gregory Itzin, who was the bad President on 24, plays the Senator, so it's obvious what the people who put this series together are after ...

So glad I haven’t watched network television since the late 80’s. Back to Paula Deen on the Food Network...

Medium is the most driven anti military show on TV, even worse than Law and Order.
On medium her brother and his friend murdered their sergeant in Iraq.

It’s all part of the media and entertainment “full court press” on McCain.
To: Hegemony Cricket
I agree. It’s outright political agenda driven propaganda. IMO it isn’t for ratings or the cash.

Could you imagine if they wrote a storyline casting a charming but vapid black Illinois senator as a coke-using, America-hating socialist intent on destroying our way of life?
I mean, just imagine that !!!

This is an outrage. For those FReepers who will not vote for him, how about a little respect for the man.

I’m with you. The plotline is reprehensible, but then some of the comments on this thread are too. Unfortunately, I’m finding this more frequently on FR.

I’m voting for him too. Wasn’t my first choice, but he will be the nominee. I know that my work is cut out for me, but not as badly as if Hillary or Barack wins.
