“Youths” in the suburbs of Paris are escalating their intifada against French society, ambushing and firing on police.
PARIS: Dozens of hooded attackers fired buckshot and nails at police this weekend, wounding four officers, France’s interior minister said.
Michele Alliot-Marie called the Sunday afternoon attack an “ambush,” saying that about 30 people, some of them armed, were waiting for the officers in the southern Paris suburb of Grigny. The officers were responding to a call about vandalism at a local bakery.
Three officers were hit in face with buckshot; another was hit in the leg with buckshot and nails and was hospitalized, Sunday’s statement said.
And what is the background, ethnicity, immigration status, etc. of these so-called “youths”? What is the reason for their rage? Anybody know?

Grigny is a heavily immigrant suburb, and was one of the areas hit hardest by the Muslim riots. More than a quarter of the residents are under age 20; unemployment in some projects reaches 40% among young people. Half the population is Muslim, according to local residents.

They may have been wearing those ballistic faceshields - in which case they’re not going to stop the buckshot, but they will slow it down so it’s not lethal (if it was fired at any distance).

Just as soon as a saw YOUTHS, I knew I was going to make a comment. Looks like several of you beat me to it.
Outrageous reporting as usual.
It didn't take long for "youth" to become synonymous with "muslim punks." The question now is, when will "youth" become an unusable word. Perhaps it won't be too long, with "hooded attackers" becoming the next descriptor du jour.

I’m gonna go with a Bikini Islands atoll as being most appropriate.
The nuanced sophisticates here won’t like it, but in the long run it will same everyone time, resources and innocent lives.

Just wait 5 years - France will do something to piss off Iran or Syria and they will find these “youths” will be armed with AK-47’s and IED’s. This is where this is headed.
Funny thing....the article doesn’t say where the surrender signing took place. I am sure the French police waved the French white flag.
