Michelle Obama, who often has decried "the fear bomb'' that opponents have used against her husband for his middle name -- Barack Hussein Obama -- said in Canton, Ohio, today that it is happening again and shows why it's so important that he wins election as president.
"They threw in the obvious, ultimate fear bomb," Obama said today of her husband's 2004 Senate race. "We're even hearing [that] now. … 'When all else fails, be afraid of his name, and what that could stand for, because it's different.'"
The senator's wife said that rivals use innuendo to play on fears. "Just as they're saying it now," she said.
But, she told about 200 supporters this morning at a restored theater in Canton, Obama won despite that "climate of negativity and doubt" in 2004. "We learned, number one, that when power is threatened by real change they will say anything to stop it," she said. "But we also learned that the American people can handle the truth."
What America needs, she added, is a "fundamentally different kind of leadership," one that challenges people to be different, and better to one another. And that, she said to critics who say it is not his time, cannot wait.
"Barack Obama will be the kind of leader we need right now, not in four years or eight years or 12 years," she said. "We can't wait to get this right. We need it to happen today."

So if we can’t refer to him by his actual name what do we call him? The candidate formerly known as Barak Hussein Obama?
Scare mongering, indeed. SHE scares me more than he does. Once again, we know who wears the pants in that family. What is it with these metrosexual democrats anyway? Nothing but a bunch of pussies.
Well, Shelly, he can always change his middle name if he doesn’t like it being used. He should probably also change his first and last names while he is at it, because they are just as Muslim.
Maybe Obama will bring her onstage for the General election debates.

Mrs. Obama and others of leftist ilk don't even try anything else; it's right to contempt and contumely against those who simply ask questions.
Which of course means we have to ask the questions louder.
What kind of answer am I personally looking for? How about the kind that Romney was hounded into giving about his religious affiliations.
Senator Obama could address -- free of platitudes -- his affiliations with the Afro-centric Christian church and its pro-Black Muslim pastor and his [Obama's] affiliations with Islamist groups around the world.
For example: Most American women change their surname when they get married. This is a statement about their relationship with their husband.
Some people don't want to go through the whole legal name change route, but still want to make a personal statement. The easiest way to do this, is to adopt a nickname.
Barack Obama did this as a young man, when he briefly identified himself as "Barry". As he matured, however, he reclaimed his Muslim given name. I am not saying that he is a Muslim (he claims to be a Christian, but is really a secular humanist). However, his given name says that his Muslim roots are more important to him, than being considered an American.
Contrast this with Bobby Jindal, whose parents came to America from India. His legal, given name is "Piyush". He adopted "Bobby", when he was 4 years old, and has kept that name. He is not repudiating his Indian background, but he is saying that, first and foremost, he considers himself to be an American.
Wow... isn’t it being really disrespectful to voters to imply that they can’t make a distinction between a black American senator and certain members of a now mostly deceased middle eastern government? Not that I’m pro-Obama, but anyone with two brain cells should be able to understand that two people with similar names (c’mon, Hussein isn’t even his LAST name!) are not necessarily affiliated with each other...
