NATO soldier shot in Kosovo

PRISTINA, Kosovo-A NATO peacekeeper caught in a shootout in western Kosovo is being treated for slight injuries.

NATO officials say a stray bullet hit the soldier in the leg Wednesday when two rival groups opened fire at each other in the town of Prizren, 80 kilometers west of the capital Pristina (50 miles).

The soldier, who is not being named, sustained slight injuries to the leg but is able to walk.

Three people died in the shootout that took place in the center of the town. Authorities believe it was a conflict between two ethnic Albanian criminal gangs.

NATO has 16,000 peacekeepers stationed in Kosovo are in charge of securing the country.

I'm reminded of the words of Serbian criminal known as "Arkan" - “NATO can expect hell. I promise them. We will fight with everything we have … until the last man. It’s an honor for me as a soldier to die fighting in Kosovo.”

So we should expect more incidents from both Albanians and Serbs. But NATO will not cut-and-run from their mission because of these two-bit thugs.

The slight difference being that Arkan & his people were always who you were always fighting AGAINST. These two-bit Albanian Mafia thugs are now who you are fighting FOR. When you make a deal with the Devil, you wind up with some very ugly bedfellows!

But if it is just a matter of needing to expend testosterone, real guts would be turning the guns the other way to defend churches and helpless Serb Christian old people who get beaten up by these thugs who we are defending, instead of defending Albanian church destroyers, drug-running and sex slavery. But no one has the stones for that. Better to keep running in the same direction -- off that cliff -- and pretend you are "a hero" than to actually be one!

Perhaps the Albanian mafia has issued similar threats as the Serbs have, but I'm not aware of them.

They've had nine years to "drop the hammer" on them. If they didn't do it then, they aren't going to start now.

Jim Jatras of the American Council on Kosovo was at a Conference on Kosovo last year with senior EU Reps. Virtually all of these EU ministers acknowledged the truth about the Albanian drug-running and sex-slavery that the Albanian Mafia was running in Kosovo, along with the destruction to Serbian churches.

So Jim asks them, "So why are you still willing to grant them independence if you know all this?". The reply, "Because we are afraid of them."

The three killed are all ethnic Albanians (of course Serbs don't live in that area anymore) and one of them was only 16. Wasn't Srbica where the KLA was first formed or the place its main headquarters?

...Umsak added that the KFOR soldier had been on patrol, and had got caught up near the scene of the crime by chance.

An argument, followed by an armed confrontation with three fatalities and injuries took place in Prizren's central square, Šadrvan, at around 1530.

The regional police said that the victims were Arber Kransiqi (24), Jon Kuzini (16) and Nue Kqira (40). Two of the men were from Srbica, and one from the village of Smac; in the Prizren municipality.

The police have arrested one person on suspicion of triple murder, though the individual has not been named. The motive of the attack is not yet known and an investigation is under way.

Šadrvan Square is increasingly becoming a scene of clashes, fights, and murders.

There have been American Soldiers that were wounded and a few killed courtesy of our allies, the Albanians....mainly in the northern sector closer to the Serbian partition.
