Grim Anniversary: Waco Siege [28 February 1993]
Answers.com ^

"Waco Siege, a fifty-one-day siege by federal
agents of the Branch Davidian religious group's commune
headquarters outside Waco, Texas, in early 1993. The
siege, which began after a botched and bloody attempt on
28 February 1993 to arrest the group's leader, David
Koresh, on a weapons charge, ended in the deaths of four
federal agents and seventy-eight Branch Davidians. The
stalemate ended when U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno
ordered the use of force on April 19. Soon after federal
agents moved, fire engulfed the compound, killing
seventy-two, provoking controversy over the use of force
in dealing with dissident sects. Although some surviving
members of the sect were acquitted of manslaughter, they
received harsh sentences when convicted on lesser
charges. In August 1999, new documents surfaced
indicating that the FBI had fired three flammable tear
gas canisters during the raid on the compound. Following
a ten-month investigation, Senator John C. Danforth
released a report concluding that although federal
agents had mishandled evidence, they had neither started
the fire nor improperly employed force."

That situation did not have to happen if David Wacko did not cause it in the first place.

If they wanted to just arrest David Koresh they could have easily done that while he was in Waco.

Why did ATF bring a media bus to the compound the day they first showed up with the jack booted thugs?

Good question. Obviously I don’t know but I really didn’t think it made much impact on my life. I was annoyed it was on all the time and those people refused to come out of the building. It interrupted quite a few tv shows during that time. If I was in that building, I would have gone out and answer their questions. What were they hiding?????

Sad to say, when it happened I must admit I believed a lot of the lies put out about how/why the incident occured.

After watching the incredible documentary Waco: Rules of Engagement, it became clear the the government’s story was built on one huge lie after another. They murdered those people in cold blood. Justice was never served against any of the murderers.

That documentary should be required viewing for every American as a wake-up call of what the U.S. government is capable of.

You need to educate yourself first, then post.....otherwise you only make a fool out of yourself.

What did David “Wacko” (sic) do to cause it in the first place?

Nothing. The original charges were trumped up by ATFags.

House of Representatives Report 104-749 8/2/96 Committee of Government Reform & Oversight "..."The staff also had an opportunity to inspect the physical evidence taken from the ruins of the residence after the fire, much of which had been used in the criminal trial of surviving Davidians. By prior agreement with the Justice Department, a potential witness at the hearings, Failure Analysis Associates, Inc., was to inspect some of the physical evidence in order to respond to tampering allegations. It was believed that the views of scientists from Failure Analysis, who had often performed scientific evaluations for the Federal Government, including the Justice Department and NASA after the Challenger explosion, would be beneficial given public suspicions about the firearms recovered from the site of the Davidian residence. The inspection would not have damaged the weapons and was to have been conducted in the presence of all parties. It was hoped that the inspection would determine whether the Davidians had attempted to alter legal, semi-automatic weapons by converting them into illegal, automatic weapons as the ATF had alleged, and whether any of this evidence had been altered after it was gathered from the destroyed Davidian residence. When the scientists arrived in Austin, the Department declined to make the firearms available to them. The Department agreed instead to conduct the tests itself and present its findings to the subcommittees. A short time later, the Department urged, for cost considerations, that the tests not be performed. As a result, no tests were performed on the firearms." ....."

How traumatic that must have been for you. < /sarcasm>

If I was in that building, I would have gone out and answer their questions.

What? And get machine-gunned like the people at the door the first day?

What were they hiding?????

Themselves - from the murders outside.

If, like I did, you saw the unedited version of the original assault, you would never say anything like that again. It changed my life forever.

This was premeditated murder, completely unjustified, by the federal government.

The main murderer, John Magaw, is now in Jorge the Mexican’s Homeland Security. Our government is still filled with the evil men from that black day. None of the murderers was even fired, never mind hanged. They got vacations and promotions.

Nothing has changed.

You are seriously misinformed. The original weapons charges were trumped up by ATFags. The only witnesses supporting the charges of child abuse were a blind man and Koresh's ex-wife who lied in an attempt to gain custody of her son.

The ATF shot the dogs outside first. Not a very inviting scenario to bring children out.

The mass murder was planned during Bush the first’s admin, by his people.

That justifies killing them all, machine-gunning anyone who tried to get out of the back of the building on April 19?

That story is government disinformation designed to cover up the fact that everyone inside was already dead by April 19. The fire was part of the cover-up.

The autopsy reports show this.

Has the film of the first part of the raid ever turned up? All those ATF cameras and no film?

I often wonder why they decided to go so ferociously after the CHRISTIAN compound that was heavily armed and they don’t even bat an eye at all the little ISLAMIC communities of this sort that are sprinkled all over our country.

This makes absolutely no sense to me.

Some have a theory that it was because they were close to a government installation and found out something that the government doesn’t want us to know. It was something about internment camps if I remember correctly.
