When it comes to protecting America , Bush has been a Virtual President , and specifically, “out to lunch”.

Or nonexistant.

So, how long does it take to deploy a razor wire barrier, say three or four layers high?

Designers must of forgot we’re switching to digital in 2009.

Can’t be, I’ve seen FReepers and heard talk radio callers who have defended this candidate or that one from political attacks saying that there is no Republican opposition to this fence.

Of course it is plainly obvious but their political staffers make the argument again and again anyway.

There should be no universal health care even considered until the illegal immigration is stopped cold in its tracks.

If we ended ALL social safety nets, how much would those who have “nothing” pay a coyote then to be smuggled across the border?

You earn what you are paid and nada mas. And no handouts for those who send their paycheck back home to Mexico.

This “system” wouldn’t look as good to migrant labor.

Pretty stupid. They have out maneuvered us so far and all three of the candidates for President will not build the fence.

Buddy Kay Bailey has also done her part to take it off the table. And Jorge’s buddy prosecutor Johnny Sutton has done his part to crack down on border security.

These people really DO know each other, they aren’t just coincidental partners in a general idea.

So in a few more years, maybe we’ll have virtual security.

Boeing built and tested the fence before handing it over to the administration. Remember last week when it was announced the 'Virtual Fence' was ready?

While I believe the physical fence is what is needed along the border, there are areas where the terrain cannot support it.

If there is any questioning that needs to be done here, Boeing should be getting the questioning, from all of us, AND the administration.

Yup, some folks will have armed protection and private air travel. The rest of us will have to suffer the consequences.

All three of the candidates for President will not build the fence.

That is the most provactive statement that can be uttered in this election cycle. It gets right to the point.

Memo To: Department of Homeland Security
Attn: Moron in Chief, aka Chertoff.
Re: Border Wall.

Dear Moron,

Hey you schmuck. Building a wall isn't Rocket Science.

Have a nice day asshat.

From what I’m told by the several BP guys I’m acquainted with, the towers are relatively easy to take out.
So what if we see who did it? A cartel will pay them enough to make it worth their while to go shoot up or ram a tower. It has happened and will continue to happen.

How well are they monitored?
If they are well monitored, where are the numbers of agents able to respond to EVERY recorded incursion?
If they have sufficient numbers of agents then where are the internment camps and buses to ship them back?

The right answer is a wall. Not a 2-ply cyclone fence that can be driven through but a wall.
Not a continuous wall either, though it may feeeeeel good to think about uninterrupted fortification.
There needs to be a few breaks so that fluffy bunnies, bambi and little insects can traverse the border along with a few of the more optimistic criminals.
These breaks (debatable in number, location and size) would serve as a shutter-upper to the enviro-cultists and perform a valuable and age old military function of channeling the enemy to ground of your choosing.
Think it wouldn’t work? Ever play the lottery?

“the feds think we are really stupid and can’t figure out that the govt has NO intention of ever securing the borders.”

Exactly. If anyone thinks Obama or McCain will build it, I have a bridge to sell.

So, let me get this straight. DHS is now saying that it is not technologically feasible to build the "virtual fence" that Bush and Chertoff promised us would be just as good if not a better alternative than a real double chain-link fence. And now since the "virtual fence" can't be built because of these new technological issues, nothing's going to happen for three years?

They're all liars...

Virtual fences are much better than real fences...that's why the White House has one...

...oh wait, that's a real fence. Maybe our most secure prisons like the Supermax would be a good example of the use of virtual fence technology...

....oops, that looks like a regular fence as well.
