Yup, some folks will have armed protection and private air travel. The rest of us will have to suffer the consequences.
From what I’m told by the several BP guys I’m acquainted with, the towers are relatively easy to take out.
So what if we see who did it? A cartel will pay them enough to make it worth their while to go shoot up or ram a tower. It has happened and will continue to happen.
How well are they monitored?
If they are well monitored, where are the numbers of agents able to respond to EVERY recorded incursion?
If they have sufficient numbers of agents then where are the internment camps and buses to ship them back?
The right answer is a wall. Not a 2-ply cyclone fence that can be driven through but a wall.
Not a continuous wall either, though it may feeeeeel good to think about uninterrupted fortification.
There needs to be a few breaks so that fluffy bunnies, bambi and little insects can traverse the border along with a few of the more optimistic criminals.
These breaks (debatable in number, location and size) would serve as a shutter-upper to the enviro-cultists and perform a valuable and age old military function of channeling the enemy to ground of your choosing.
