The recipe, an experimental hybrid, was Filet Mignon Au Poivre + Southwest-style Filet Mignon.

Neither recipe included the bacon wrap which I demand (ALL my filets are b/w'd), while the FM-AP was a pan-fry, and I prefer grilling.

I was enchanted with the butter dollup top and killer-nice french sauce, it sounded so OOOO-lala! So I just made that on the side. Neither one went the extra step with the mesquite wood chips with a good smoke starter.

The combination of all these flavors, along with the good meat, while sort of all over the place, was totally scrumptious.

Sides were baked potatos/fixins and some Bush's Best Maple/Cured Bacon Beans.

He says on the commercial he’s Lauren Wallace third cousin once removed from the Wallace brothers. He really is just an actor but the commercials are a big hit with everyone.

The lines just roll off his tongue and his composure is amazing. He has a very bright future.

I got held up a few. I’ll put the Atlanta thread up in a couple hours. Gotta go to a meeting. Back in a bit.

HAMPTON, Ga. — Carl Edwards’ first stint atop the Sprint Cup series points standings was short-lived.

NASCAR on Wednesday penalized Edwards 100 championship points for a rule infraction discovered following Sunday’s victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, taking him from a 21-point lead over Kyle Busch to seventh place.

>>>>>Edwards also lost the 10 bonus points he would have received when the points are reshuffled if he is one of the 12 drivers that makes the championship chase. Also, crew chief Bob Osborne was fined $100,000 and suspended for the next six races, and team owner Jack Roush was penalized 100 owner’s points.

Robby Gordon on Twitter just said that all penalties were rescinded for him, except the fine. The fine was increased from $100,000 to $150,000. No points deduction or crew chief suspension, though.

I'm glad they gave Robby the points back, but increased the fine? That boy is already hurting for $$. ??

Pretty good whack for Flipper, expecially the 10 pts for the Chase....

Yes the Chase points is a new penalty!

Dodge will probably cough up the 150 G’s, since it was really their fault.

Not this time.

Here’s the rule on the oil cover...... It’s simple. There is supposed to be a lid on it. Rule 20-3.4.5 in the 2008 NASCAR rule book reads, in part: “The lubrication oil reservoir tank encasement cover must be constructed using magnetic sheet steel, a minimum 22 gage (0.031 inch thick) and must not be fastened with quick release fasteners.’’ Want more? Here’s Rule 20-8.4 (C): “The lubrication oil reservoir tank must be cylindrical in shape with a convex/conical shaped top and bottom. ... Location, installation, venting and air ducting of the lubrication oil reservoir tank.

PLUS, all screws are to be taped over preventing them from coming loose.
