Tuned into the debate last night and this idiot Obama proved again does not have a clue.

He made the statement that US platoons are going short manned to Afganistan because a portion of them are being sent to Iraq. Then he said our soldiers in Afganistan are so poorly equipped they are using captured Taliban munitions!

I can guarantee you if this was the case the media would have been all over it months or years ago. Who is going to challenge him on this?

If some Spec Ops guys are occasionally using an AK, it is because they want to, not because they have to.

Exactly...spot on. Spec Ops will use the enemy's weapons so that they cannot be identified when firing the weapon.

But, when it does occur, they do this because that is their desire, not because there is any kind of shortage or ill equipping going on.

At this time I can not support MCLAIM. One of the reasons I am so stong against him, is the way he treated the familys of missing soldiers. He was rude and basically told them to go to hell.
I certainly can't support O'Mama Or Hitlery & Slick, and I can't NOT VOTE (I don't think)I am not sure what I will do if MCLAIM is the republican nominee.

I will vote for John McCain only because the parents of soldiers here have asked for that. If it was up to me I'd live through a democrat for 4 years in order to teach the republican party that when you can't tell the difference between them and democrats us conservatives are going to find another party.

I would submit that John McCain will get more soldiers killed in the next 4 years than either of the democrats. I'm afraid he would be much more likely to start another war because he's having a bad day. Yes they will bring the troops home but maybe it is time to kick the Iraqis out of the nest. And if the democrat president does this and Iraq turns into a failure they won't be able to blame it on "the failed policies of the Bush administration".

One of the goals of war is to capture the enemies supplies, munitions and using them against the enemy.

It's a lot cheaper than shipping the supplies and munitions across the ocean.

If Obama knew ANYTHING about military history, he’d know that conquering armies are SUPPOSED TO capture the enemy’s weapons/munitions and (if appropriate) add them to their own arsenals.
