"I gotta go with McCain despite the horrible warts. "We are going to have a long, long time left till the conventions and then the General, but it's starting to become apparent to me that I really don't have any other reasonable choice- no matter how flawed the selection process, that's history. It's McCain, the semi-traitor, or one of two full blown traitors (maybe both). McCain seems to have the right attitude about the Crusade, and that's the most important thing. Our country has to survive the muslim enemy, even after they are in charge in Europe.

Yeah, I was kind of wondering that too, all these freepers who say they won’t vote for McCain, are they going to pay my tax bill or look our troops in the eye and tell them why we surrendered Iraq?

Yet you join today, to advocate behavior which would guarantee - a socialist will win the next Presidency.
Color me, just a tad skeptical of your motives, for now...
So what are your thoughts on the Second Amendment?
Thanks.

It has become all to painfully apparent to me that there are some on FR who do not care about this all important difference between McCain and the eventual Dim candidate. The disdain and hatred these people hold for this man is thick enough to cut with a knife. So, they will vote to place a Dim in the WH instead.

The option at this moment is for McCain to simply retire and let the convention select an electable nominee.
There's still no requirement to vote for him.
To: JRochelle
ok, how about this one, do you hate it too? :)

(Voting for McCain in 2008 - and bringing people with me to make up for your vote.)
To: jwalsh07
Anyway it was quite wise of him to question why anyone should vote for an empty suit who promises nothing more than a change back to the useless nostrums and failed policies of the past.

I get your point, but throwing that picture up in a public forum is unwise. How do you know that family or friends are not members here?

McCain has a very good chance to win meanwhile you can continue to whine!
McAmnesty's record is well documented here on FreeRepublic.
Your tactic of calling people whiner's because they don't have your "Party over Principle" approach to life does nothing to convince them or anyone else for that matter that McAmnesty is good for the GOP or the country.
Your "Lessor of Two Evils" approach is not convincing anyone either.
I also expect, that when McAmnesty loses in November, the only whiners around here will be those who decided that because McAmnesty has an R next to his name and he is somewhat less to the left than Hillary you could vote for him.
The rest of us will be telling you we told you so, not because we did not want a Republican to win, but because we knew McAmnesty was too much of a RINO and had wandered too far to the left to win.

“Yet you join today, to advocate behavior which would guarantee - a socialist will win the next Presidency.”
A socialist will win the Presidency. All the conservatives are no longer in the race.
Oh, wait - you think Mr. Global Warming Tax who wants to inundate us with illegal aliens is NOT a socialist. Interesting point of view, I guess.
“So what are your thoughts on the Second Amendment?”
The Bush Administration brief is a travesty. The Amendment means what it says. SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. Not by Bush, not by McCain, not by Clinton, not by the $.10 Change Obama.
Not by anyone!
Montana has a good idea.

I heard on FOX tonight that 9% of the Obama vote was from registered Republicans.
Sticking a fork in Hillary, methinks.
Still, how much do we really want a contest with Obama?

Actually, that should stand as a testament to what types of people you’re dealing with here as well as there.
Playing the “beheading card” is pretty cheap.
To: All
When the Republican establishment is confronted with the cold fact that if the party nominates McCain, all efforts to win the presidency will be in vain. It will be forced to “broker” the leftist McCain into oblivion where he rightfully belongs.
To: ElPatriota
Hey. We don't need that here.
I can go find it, if I wanted to.

Your tax bill will be huge with McCain or either Dem - because of all the poor and unskilled illegals granted amnesty. McCain hasn't been great w/r tax reform votes - why pretend he is now? I'd say go ahead and bring the troops home - and put them on our southern border. That will secure our nation and our culture much better. We can't fight a war with an open border - it's ludicrous
