McCain wins Wisconsin per all news outlets. He is giving a great speech now.

I disagree with the “great speech” take. I watch McCain speak and keep wondering, how is it possible this guy will win the nomination.

I'll agree with you on that one. I've never thought him a particularly good speaker, but he did a fine job tonight.

The Michelle Obama comments should be an easy commercial for either Clinton or McCain.

McCain talks about closing Gitmo and stopping the practise of waterboarding. Remember the terrorist bill of rights? If McCain wasn’t tough on Iraq, he would be on par with the Dems.

True, all true...but.....he is all for the dissolution of the nation from within. Liberalism is what is killing us. Not Islam. We can easily deal with radical Islam and those idiots who espouse it, but only if we are not paralyzed from within by liberalism. McCain will fight Islamofacists in Iraq but let em in wholesale across our southern border. He has no respect for your rights, he doesn’t like conservatives, and he will continue the now time-honored (by the MSM) path towards the internal disintegration of this nation. The muslims are the least of our worries.

McCain has a lot of faults the Lord knows but it's hard to desrcibe him as a liberal.

A liberal or commie, if you will, does stuff like this:

--Earlier this week, Obama voted against the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). This would severely undermine our intelligence gathering capabilities in the war against radical Islamic extremists.

--Obama has voted against a bill protecting homeowners from being sued by burglars they shoot in their own homes.

--Obama would implement the largest tax increase in American history - by not making the Republican tax cuts permanent.

--Obama has voted against Illinois 's version of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. This act is designed to protect those babies who survive an attempted abortion.

McCain or the most liberal Senator in Washington DC whose wife has never been proud of America until her husband ran for POTUS?

I gotta go with McCain despite the horrible warts.

It was a slam dunk that McCain would say he was proud of American - how could anyone be surprised after all this fuss has been made over this statement? He and Cindy might have come up with something more original.

He is so proud he wants open borders, amnesty, and he even voted against the Cornyn amendment. He actually wants terrorists admitted. No doubt Hillary will bring out his record regarding his stand on POW/MIA issues.

It was good speech -- a couple good jabs, a couple glittering generalities, and a couple statements we can all interpret to fit our personal desires best. Yes, it was a good speech as far as speech-giving goes. But ... see ... I'm tired of "good speeches". Many folks are so gifted. Today, I want someone in office I can TRUST. McCain isn't it. No sale. Send me someone better ... I'll wait.

I didn't think it was a great speech but I thought it was great that he whacked Obama who is going to take Hillary down. Obama is a communist dressed in Elmer Gantry's clothes.

McCain will not be reticent in cutting him down to size. The Clinton's were because they were tagged as racists. Yuck, yuck. Result, Hillary loses, the Clintons are history.
