There are several months to resolve the issues. The time will pass, there will be movement in opinions. By November there will be action that will allow development of a shaky but large diameter coalition.

I won't be 'sitting at home'. But I won't be voting R just because it isn't D. Until my vote isn't taken for granted, the R's will think they can get by with stuff like 'McCain(R)'. Too bad for them...and me...and my family...

There will be third party candidates on the ballot who's platform, message, and behavior is pleasing to God. Therefore they will get my vote.

Oh, please, it’s not even about being conservative, it’s about wanting the federal government to stay the heck out of your life and out of your pocket. McCain claims to oppose higher taxes and bigger government, but he authored the McCain Lieberman global warming scam which both raises taxes and makes our lives more miserable through government interference.
How anyone could group a patriot and 3rd generation Navy man in with two America-hating Marxists is beyond me.

Thanks for posting. I just posted a similar comment to another Freeper. I think it is important to distinguish between being an AMERICAN and being conservative. People are starting to view conservatism as a religion and I am starting to sound like broken record on here, but I’ll say it again.... if we have no security in this country, if we are under attack whether by inside terrorist cells or outsider terrorists that somehow make it in, all the tax clap-trap, illegal stuff, etc. will be meaningless. I just don’t understand why people can’t get this most basic fact.
